Q: Do the color changing ones have a smell to them?

I don’t know about the color changing ones but I got the pink and white and they did

Q: Will these fit any skate I have the Elle Jackson’s and it’s in the size 5.

Yes. The guards are adjustable so they can be trimmed to fit. We only had to trim a bit off in order to fit my daughter’s size 6 skates. Trimming a bit more for the size 5s would not be a problem.

Not worth it

I bought these for my son, it says that they change to green when cold, it's shows that they change to a lovely green, however that is not the case, you can hardly notice the change, my son was very disappointed therefore I returned them
