Q: Can this bow be rehaired?

I doubt it. I wanted to rehair my old bow, which also was an inexpensive bow and did research trying to find out who locally rehaired bows. I figured $20-30 for a rehair. It's not. And luthers will not rehair (according to the information I found on several websites) unless it is a very pricey bow. The way they were dodging around the answer I got the feeling that as far as rehairing goes "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it". In the end, I bought this bow for about what I'd hoped to pay for a rehair INSTEAD of getting a rehair. I also learned in my reading that the cheaper bows are not set up to be rehaired. I'm not sure what the difference is, but the expensive ones have something else done/not done to them to make rehairing easier. However, despite knowing that someday I'll have to get a replacement, I'm quite happy with this bow. It handles well and looks good.

Q: Why does it take so long to ship? 3-4 months is a little excessive.

I went to the local music store to buy a beginners bow, but it was $50. So, I bought this one for half that, plus shipping. It is the same quality as the one in the music store. The music store had the more expensive ones locked up. The one I had came with a $150 4/4 electric violin, my first. I really liked the one that came with it. This one is ok, but I like my old one a little better. (It is broke in.) Someday I might go look at those the music store locked up.

Q: How do I know which size to choose?

You purchase the bow size according to the violin. If the violin is 4/4 then you buy a 4/4 bow.
