Just what I needed to finish a gift I was putting together
I was making a mini DIY potion set as a gift for my daughter and included this. I was really hopeful that the "sparkles" would remain suspended it water to give a shimmery magical feel to her potions but was hesitant to get a whole set of that style in case it didn't work. I shouldn't have worried because it worked perfectly! Mini plastic bottles with corks, a set of various dried flowers, a mini mortar and pestle and she was all set!The colors stand out vibrantly when mixed into her potions but we have not personally used them in any food or consumed any of the potions.

Nice colors.
You get a decent amount of food safe colors for the price. I read about the problem with the metallics,so I'll follow the suggestions if I use them. I haven't noticed a taste but I also haven't tried to achieve darker colors. I'm pleased with them.

Ted color was spilled inside package.
After removing the plastic on the outside of the box, when I opened it there was RED food color spilled inside the box. It looks like the lid wasn’t tightened quite good enough. I need red food color. The others are fine, please send me another red, so I don’t have to return the entire box!Thanks.

Metallics don’t come across metallic
As food colorings go, I guess they’re fine. We’ve tried the gold, silver and red. We had to use quite a lot in the buttercream to get enough color to ice our cookies, but that’s OK.My main concern is we bought this pack specifically b/c of the metallic colors, but they don’t look metallic. The liquid looks wonderfully, vibrantly metallic, but the silver just made the buttercream look gray and the gold make it look like mustardy butter. That was disappointing.
