OTF-01CR Canoe Loader and Rack, Black

Works well for the purpose.

I just assembled this unit, but have not used it to load my canoe with yet. I am missing several washers and normally would just go to the hardware store and get them, but with the current Covid lockdown I am reluctant to go. I tried the replacement parts number on the Information sheet, but it didn’t seem to work. Product looks like a good one though.

Over all, great addition to my pickup. I would have liked clearer instructions, clearer pictures or illustrations would help. I tried a few different ways before I figured it out. When I did get it right, it's very nice. The swiveling carrier is brilliant. This will enable me to transport and solo in a larger, heavier canoe than I would have been able to lift and transport alone. You place one end of the canoe on this carrier at rear, bungie it, then lift opposite end of the canoe to swing around to the front of the vehicle to load at the front. Unloading is opposite. Lifting half the canoe at a time. Much easier than me lifting a heavier canoe by myself to toss on top my truck. I think the price is quite fair for what you get.

I like this product, its great. Very useful. Helps Carry my tandem kayak quite well.

unfortunately I had to return this as the packaging was damaged and parts were missing. I looked to be a high quality item otherwise.

The large bolt to connect to hitch tube bends easily - cannot handle the weight of the canoe.

Great to keep the old man kayaking.

Easy to assemble. Seems sturdy enough, and makes loading and unloading the canoe a lot easier than just trying to muscle it up on to the car. So far it has worked very well with a 57lb. canoe- two trips of 40 miles rt.
