Finally joined the air fryer club!
To date air fryers simply haven't interested me in that I have always thought of them as one of many overhyped and overpriced kitchen accessories / gadgets that is more likely to spend time in a cupboard than in use. The most well known air fryer make has been copied by a plethora of cheap copycats and the price has fallen significantly with people generally appearing to fall out of love with a once much loved accessory which perhaps has not stood the test of time. However I happened to read an article about the Instant Vortex Plus Dual Air Fryer which rated it very highly and coincidentally saw one on Amazon Warehouse for £86 against a RRP of £149 and normal price of £119... good value or what! As a family we are eating more chicken and tend to use oven chips over traditional chips and an air fryer is perfect for both. We are now air fryer converts but at a realistic price and an aesthetically pleasing product with somewhere to store it where it will get used regularly. So all in all very pleased with this purchase. I am not convinced about the somewhat wild time and energy savings claims about air fryers in general but nevertheless items do cook quicker at lower temperatures with less fat and clean up is a doddle. Sync start and finish on this model means different items can be easily cooked together, conversely whilst the 8in1 claims sound good for example a normal oven can be used as a dehydrator! Build quality is excellent. Simply put I wouldn't pay £150, £200 or whatever for an air fryer but at this price, quality and functionality I would thoroughly recommend it.

Great air fryer, easy to use and accurate cooking.
Bought this for my boyfriend as he was wanting a new one due to our old smaller air fry getting past it. This is such an upgrade, we both love it. It's very easy to use and accurate with the cooking. Love that it times in preheating, that you can use each side at different rates if you want or sync them up and that you can flick on an internal light to see in to how your food is cooking without opening the drawer. Really happy with it. Just make sure to check the dimensions if you have a small area as it's a reasonable size and you need space to open the drawers etc but it's worth it imo.

Brilliant air fryer
This is a brilliant air fryer and worth every penny. It easily matches more expensive competitors, and is easy and intuitive to use. The light is a great feature allowing food to be checked as it cooks.

Perfect for 2 people, too small for more
This was on-sale for Black Friday, so I decided to buy one. Who wouldn’t want healthier food at a fraction of the effort and cost. After 2 months of using this device, here are my thoughts. Design: The design is lovely- the handles are ergonomic; the buttons are easy to use. The only physical button is the dial and it hasn’t been an issue using. It took a minute or so to understand how to cook at different times and temperatures. The fans at the back emit a lot of heat, so I normally leave a gap between the wall and the air fryer. Cooking: the food cooks very evenly. The unique selling point of this is of course the dual baskets- it works perfectly for what I’ve cooked and it’s incredibly clear to identify the cooking time and temperature. The ability to sync-cook as well is a great convienence. My main issue with this is the lack of surface area. It’s very good with the volume being large, but the majority of things I cook occupies a larger surface area than this perhaps provides. A good example is chips/ fries. When cooking it, I must do it in more batches as the available area isn’t enough. Of course, I could stack them together to utilise all of the volume, but who wants floppy fries!? I use the air-fryer for myself and one other person, but using it for more people might be an issue. Sound: Sounds pop up for relevant aspects. It’s very easy to hear when in the same room without it becoming annoying. You get alerted when pre-heating is done, when food should be turned and finally when the timer has reached Clean up: The baskets are easy to clean by hand, and the grates can easily be thrown into the dishwasher. Overall, this air fryer is for you if you need to cook items at different temperatures and durations. However, please be aware that the available space isn’t as attractive as I thought when buying it!

Why did i wait so long to get this!
Friends had been telling me for months how good air fryers were but never took any notice. Then looking on Amazon one day and see a deal for this with £50 off so i jumped at the chance. And although i have not used every setting available on this fryer so far i am very pleased an a convert. It's a great way to cook. I've seen mixed reviews when it comes to using air fryers but so far with this Instant Vortex Plus cooking has been a breeze. Chips especially come out cooked amazingly, frozen or fresh. Although depending on where you look, cooking times do vary so they may need tweeking depending on your preference, but i have never had such crisp and fluffy chips ever. If you season them during cooking they come out even better. Sausages and fish also work out well, and the good thing i've never used any oil. This Instant Vortex comes with air fry, bake, roast, grill, re-heat and dehydrate modes. Only used the air fry and bake so far but am looking forward to trying the dehyrdate function to make dried fruit crisps. This unit does not come with any accessories so also got a set of steel cooking racks and some silicon cooking baskets that come in handy. The dual drawers have windows so you can keep an eye on the food and each draw has its own light. It has a touch control panel except for the one main control knob which is great as it's all just wipe clean. The unit i bought is the 7.6litre version, so 3.53litres per draw and they cook independently. One draw has enough room for one small chicken. Quicker cheaper and cooks well.
