I wish we had this book when setting up our design system! It is already proved essential in ongoing iteration and evolution of our DS... worth every penny!

Very thorough read on design systems from getting the sign-off from the wider company for the project resources to putting the system together to maintaining it

A great guide to design systems, I especially liked the approach to selling a design system within your own company/client.The last chapter seemed to pad out the book and wasn't necessary also I have the black and white version, so didn't really benefit from the images. That said, it is a book about digital design, will be aged by examples, so it's worth reading the book near your laptop/phone so you can see the current examples.One thing this book won't teach you, or even other design system books, is the art of creating a design system, in terms of the best typeface or colours to use.I think our industry is missing a book comparing the usability and visual design of different companies. I think we could learn a lot with a book like that.
