Recently bought some high carbon Japanese steel knives. Since I've been used to VG10 or German steel up to this point I decided to invest in a whetstone as I know these new knives needed something better than I already had to sharpen with.So I put these through their paces last night.#6000 grit took a little to hone the two new knives back to a razor edge (but given they're blue steel #2 and white steel #2 this isn't an issue as it's completely normal as they're a lot harder than what I've been used to working with.)Then I grabbed the #1000 stone and one of my gfs knives (which are admittedly blunt as anything), worked like a charm. Then honed with the #6000. I think I'd better warn her that one of her knives is now sharp as hell! 😂What makes these so easy to use is the large surface area they have, they appear to be bigger than a lot of stones on the market. Plus the mount does help give knuckle clearance, and keeps it stable and stops it moving, which again makes it easier.Good product.

Oh my word! YES. This is the real deal.You've been looking at those Chinese combination whetstones, right? The ones with the nonsensical names such as Horsequack, or something completely unprounouncable. Those small stones that are barely big enough for a decent sized knife, and actually a little too small for a decent sized curved knife. Not to mention the grades are rarely ever what they say they are and some of them even have raised, rough edges.As soon as you open the box this screams quality. You can tell the difference straight away. The size of the stones are an added bonus. It really does take some of the work out of it, but the actual quality of the product is the thing that makes the real difference.Honestly, do yourself a favour. Spend the extra. GET THIS! And then maybe you won't have the mental image of a quacking horse or mooing bear every time you use them.

Great piece of kit, plenty of space to work even a big chef's knife. Have just ordered their chopping board as so impressed, this is a quality brand.

I've probably used hundreds of stones throughout my career of butchery and profesional chefing, these stones are good. Not the best ever, but for the money they work very well. Packaging is excessive and the grits feel slightly generous in their grading (6k feels more like 4.5k) but nice to have the extra size and will continue to use.

This is the real deal; a superb product from a responsible and professional company.

Bit expensive but a very good product. Took a bit of time to get used to with regards to sharpening angles. Could do with a mechanism that assist with sharpening at the required angles.

Very well presented so would make a good present for someone, the sharpening stones are a good size and so will meet most requirements. comes with everything you will need but would recommend buying a cheap plastic storage box (quite large) to be able to use as a bath to soak the stones in. Overall very good package, you can buy cheaper but mostly much smaller stones.

Nice huge stones ! Really functiona, Larger and thicker than those offered by the competition.The little cleaner stone quickly take off all rust from knife or other steal stuffs.Dailstrong is very serious brand and every product than I buy confirmed that evidence.
