Excellent game, has so much to offer with beautiful and elegant mechanisms.

It is a big game and very heavy. Everything is very nice - wooden pieces, maps, cards, instructions with some odd translations. But the gameplay is easy after the first play. The gameplay requires strategy and multiple layers of thinking. It is fun.

Since it received high praise from them, I went on a limb and picked it up.Like most complex games there's a learning curb. But the mechanics are rather intitutive and easy to teach. Since each player has the same cards, and there really aren't any secrets, it's easy to help new players along with decisions.If you're looking for something beyond Catan, that's more rewarding and less punitive, this is the game.

This game is great for the hard core board gamers as you can use multiple strategies to win, and simple enough so that newbies will not be too intimidated. The mechanics for your play turn are simple, play a card from your hand. There are multiple playing boards to change up the game once you feel that it's simple. I haven't played the team games yet, but over all great game to play.

Concordia has managed to stay in the top games on board game geek, and fought off recency bias. This is largely due to the fact that it manages to create amazing tension from the seemingly limited number of moves, and plethora of options. I've only played it at 2p and 3p counts and found it entertaining each time. I haven't played the Venus variant. That being said this game comes with a lot of maps that can be used for different player counts. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic euro game. Interesting strategy. Getting this version is a great value which offers a lot of options for gameplay.

I was skeptical at first given the other feedback, but picked this up. This includes everything from the base game, updated card, includes more and new maps, as well as the expansion for Venus if you choose to play with them.Base games lets you play with 2-5 players. Expansion lets you play with teams with 4-6 players total.It can also be combined with the other expansions or the original base game (that has 1 older map not included in this version).Some research and just searching "Concordia vs Concordia Venus" on your favorite search engine will clear up any questions or doubts and confirm that the recommendations for people picking up the game for the first time that is this version to go with.I agree and recommend.
