Was happy with this box, the lid clasps are robust an work well. There is plenty of room for tackle boxes, reels, weights etc, etc.

After seeing the new Shakespeare tackle box on line. I decided to treat myself to one as an upgrade to my old beta box, as I wanted one a bit bigger and with the added upgrades. I chose to go for the blue fully loaded seatbox. I ordered the new box from angling - supplies -ltd. The box arrived a few days later without the pin that Lock's the lid to box making the box unusable. To ad insult to injury the seat cushion supplied was not a genuine shakespear cushion, it was a cheap black one which did not fit my box. also I only received one side Tray when the product description clearly states two. For £69:95 I expect better value and service than that. Some companies are selling this item for £59:99 with two side trays. It has took two complaints and a few days waiting around to finally receive the pin and cushion but no second Tray. I have had no apology. I have to say I have no complaint with Shakespeare as the box is very good. My complaint is with angling-supplies- Ltd, Who I would never shop with again. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere unless you like being ripped off.

Returning to angling after a long lay-off, I decided to buy a Shakespeare seat box, just like I had years ago. I went for the 'fully loaded' box for convenience of having all the extras rather than paying a premium for them later down the line. The cushion is just a piece of foam in a plastic cover which just perches on the lid. Some hook and loop fasteners to hold it in place would be a welcome addition.The box itself is just as I remember it, except the two catches are now far more positive and the strap mounts in the centre of the two sides, which makes it far more balanced when picking it up and carrying It.The two side trays are excellent, and the padded strap much kinder on the shoulder than the standard webbing strap.How disappointing then, to find that one of the clips on the lid of the tackle box supplied was broken off. At just short of eighty quid for a collection of plastic, you have every reason to expect everything to arrive intact - very disappointing quality control.This box is not great value for money, but there is a reasonable expectation that it will last for years, just like my last one.As one of the most popular boxes ever made, there are loads of third party accessories available to fit too.This would have got four stars, just losing one for value for money. The fact that a part was supplied broken however, loses it a second star.

I have seen a number of bad reviews on this offer; IE cheap non Shakespeare cushion and side trays missing etc, but mine was as advertised and all good quality and I'm sure it will last as long as my first one which is still in use ; all in all good value.
