A lot of Gundam “fans” dismiss G-Reco as incomprehensible. It’s obvious that these so called fans need the plot spoon fed to them. A lot of positive reviewers of this series go so far as to insult the intelligence of those who find the show to not be to their tastes, I wouldn’t be so crude. G-Reco requires close attention and multiple viewings to be appreciated. I put it next to Ergo Proxy and other cerebral anime in terms of expecting the viewer to be able to draw conclusions without gratuitous exposition. It’s by no means a perfect show, but to curse it as the worst of the Gundam franchise is an insult to true Gundam fans and Tomino’s vision as an auteur. It has amazing character and mech design and a fantastic story for those who can extrude the meaning from the less than simple plotting. Calling it the worst entry is an insult to the creator and the artists involved in creating such an enjoyable entry to the series. If you enjoyed Zeta and Turn-A then watch this with an open mind free of negative reviewers and decide for yourself. For those who hate it I recommend Gundam Wing.

So I had to buy this to watch ot straight through again. Spoilers. Its not a bad gundam. The pacing was a disaster tho. Half a season on 1 enemy to add another enemy for a few episodes to add another enemy a few episodes aftet the 2nd enemy just to add the all knowing people at the end for like 2 episodes and then forget them. On top of supposedly being related but then the dad saying its wrong but the dying. And the 3rd enemy attacking and dying but blaming the main people when the main people was like why u attack now u die. This needed a full 49 episodes to make sense. Just if u like gundam watch it but follow closely or u will be lost.

Complete g-reco gundam series on blue ray. Looks great, cool soundtrack but the story/writing just doesn't flow very well.

Bought this for my son he is a huge gundam fan and he loved it!! Hes watched it everyday since receiving it, thank you for a terrific flick~~

First have to say that the Blu quality is fantastic. The animation is beautiful with lots of colour and smooth movement, very reminiscent of older hand drawn cartoons. This box set includes the complete series of 26 episodes split across three discs in two cases. You also get a nice glossy outer box and some high quality art cards in the set. Along with Mobile Suit Gundam and Zeta next year this is another must own part of the Gundam collection.As always with modern Gundam the opinions were mixed when this came out. I would say give it a chance and if you are a fan of the Universal Century and Tomino's style of storytelling you will enjoy it for sure.I would recommend this for any Gundam or giant robot fan, and I really hope we get the rest of Gundam on Blu.

Was very dispointed to find out this item only comes sub there was no dub for this anime unforchantly. be worned not Dub only Sub

PS4で再生できますが、字幕は消せません。トップメニューからはもちろん、optionボタンからでも消せませんでした。ちなみに字幕は英語とフランス語です。画質に関しては箱に1080pと表記されてます。これを買う(もしくは検討中)くらいですから、内容に関しては言うまでもないでしょう。たまに英語字幕を読んだ方が言ってることがわかったりします笑あの独特なセリフ回しを英語字幕で見るという違った楽しみ方ができるので、自分は特に気にしてません。

海外発送で価格も安かったからなのかビニールのパックもついてないタバコ臭い中古品でした。まぁ仕方ないのかな？

ＰＣ、ＰＳ３にて問題なく視聴できました。ディスク３枚に収録されていてコンパクトに収まってよいです。ほかの方のレビューで字幕が消せないとありましたが字幕はソフトのメニューからは消すことはできませんが、再生機器のメニューで消すことはできます。安く全話が高画質で見られて満足しています。

作品の内容は賛否両論、、、というか否のほうが多い(声が大きい)印象ですが私は好きです。エンディング曲の影響も大きいんでしょうが、元気をもらえる気がします。字幕に関しては、私の環境では消すことは出来ませんでした。「ソフトにより変更に制限がかけられています」という旨の表示が出ます。ただ私は字幕があろうと無かろうと気にしませんし、英語だとこのセリフはどういう表現になるんだろうかと字幕を積極的に楽しんでいます。時によって字幕を消してみたいと思うこともありますが、そこまで気にしません。TV放映時の画質が分かりませんが、OP/EDのクレジットには1080の恩恵を感じますが、映像自体は1080なんですかね？国内版のブルーレイ版を見たことがないので比較できませんが、なんと無く画が甘い気がします。話数を詰め込んでいるからなのか、元からこの画質なのか･･･元からこの画質なら国内版の話数や値段を見直すべきなんじゃないですかねえ･･･私はアニメのブルーレイを買うことはガンダム以外ありませんが、国内版が高いから北米版を買った次第です。本当は国内版が欲しいんですけどね。プレーヤーはOPPO BDP-103DJPです。

画像は国内盤より劣る1080i。オマケのGレコ甲子園は当然なし。後発のターンエーは主題歌にも字幕があるが消せるのにGレコは主題歌に字幕はなく、自分の環境では字幕を下げて見え難くするのが精一杯。ジャパニーズオリジナルが選択出来ない時点で欠陥品と言われても仕方ないと思う。ただ国内盤は美麗だが高く、冊子Gのレコンペディアがつくので相当かさばります。OOも廉価盤Blu-rayが未だに出ないくらいなので、Gレコも現状に甘んじるしかなさそうです。

勇者は必要ですがなるべくお試しで買わず、他の方のレビューをよく読んでの購入をオススメします（汗）読んだつもりが、見落とすというミスに注意しましょう！メニューにある＜ジャパンオリジナル＞に、カーソルが合わせられないというショックな仕様です。しかも、リモコン操作中によく誤作動がおきます。早送りボタン押すのも怖い（これは使用しているＰＳ３かソフトのどちらかに問題があるのか、どちらか分かりません、リモコンは２種類試して同じことが起こるのでおそらくは後者。他のソフトで起こったことはありませんので）自分はあまりに高額な国産ＢＤをなかなか購入できないので、北米版を買うことが多いのですがあくまで国産版とおなじ内容で安く買えるという部分にひかれての、購入ですので作品自体は好きですが画面上に強制字幕になってしまうこの商品に残念ながら価値は感じられません。地上波版の最高画質録画より明らかにくっきりした映像なのと、全話がコンパクトに薄いケースに３枚で納められているのはよいのですがコレクション性は皆無なものかと。個人的な話しですがこれは流しっぱなしにして音を聞くだけのソフトとしか・・・・利用できない。字幕ありでも構わない方にとってはコスパ的にも良い商品なのかもしれません（苦笑い）

By and large the worst gundam series I've ever seen. The story doesn't have any semblance of narrative structure and the plot is extremely convoluted and nonsensical. Even yoshiyuki tomino the director rated it at 15 out of 100.
