Excellent quality. Very sturdy box. I chose this set because the board folds to to 1/4 making it better for travel or storage. The board is sturdy, and the checkers, although slightly smaller than some sets, are fine for all ages and lock when making kings. The only negative is that there are no extra pieces, so don't lose any!!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this board game. It was pretty good for the price, as I know sometimes, checkers/chess boards can be flimsy. I would recommend this set as a gift for anyone (beginner or not) who wants to learn how to play or is interested in having one around handy to play it with friends! Fun for kids and resilient game pieces. Totally recommend!
