amika the shield anti-humidity spray

If you have thick hair, curly hair, frizzy hair or live in a humid climate- you must buy this! I live in Charleston, South Carolina and will not go outside without spraying this hair product on my hair. My hair stays straight and minimal frizz when I use this in the morning. Without this product, I would not be able to wear my hair down in the summer. I have this product as part of my subscribe order because it is that good.

Humidity ruins my hair. This product does not cake or mat down my hair. No more frizzy hair and give a light hold.

This did work to calm the frizziness in my hair. However, I am allergic to it, so I gave the can away. I was also not happy to see two of the main ingredients are butane (used as fuel for cigarette lighters) and propane (used as fuel for appliances and grills). It also left my hair feeling a little like clay.

This product really works! I went to an outdoor party in 100° humidity and my hair did not frizz!!! It got a little bit more volume, but was still stick straight. I highly recommend this product!

Absolutely upsetting! Product was delivered super hot and now does not work. Will not spray out! When I tried for replacement or refund you have to jump through hoops to try to speak with someone or place complaint or get help of any kind. AMAZON won’t help! I should have just went to the store to get. BE CAREFUL what you purchase on AMAZON. you might loose your money because it’s not AMAZON that you trust to warrant the products they sell! TOTAL BS!!DO NOT purchase through AMAZON. The don’t help you if faulty product!!

The scent of this spray is definitely a highlight. It has that signature amika fragrance that smells fresh and salon-quality without being too overpowering. The size of the bottle is decent, and a little goes a long way, so it should last a while.As far as performance, it gave some light frizz control, but nothing dramatic. My hair still reacted to humidity, especially on really muggy days. It did help a bit with maintaining moisture and didn’t dry my hair out, which I appreciated.The texture of the product is lightweight and not sticky, so it layers well with other styling products. The spray itself is fine and even, and the product quality overall feels nice. However, it didn’t give my hair the level of smoothness or hold I was hoping for.For the price, I expected more. It’s not a bad product, just not as effective as I needed for serious humidity control. Might work better for someone with finer or less frizz-prone hair.

Love the entire brand line but this is especially nice to keep you hair shiny and smooth when it is humid out.
