Works Great if you have the right equipment
Using this with a Surface Pro 3. Been waiting for this for some time: one wall charger for my phone, my Nintendo Switch, and my Laptop. That said, USB C PD (Power Delivery) is still very new and has been a pain to work with over the past few years. It's still a problem, so before you get this you should make sure you have the chargers or power bank that can handle it.As for the cable itself: it is 6ft which makes it a convenient replacement for the usual Surface power brick. The cable lights up at the Surface Connect port just like the Microsoft charger. It's a cable, there's not much I can say about it.As for equipment, I have a 30W Anker USB C PD wall charger. That charges my Surface when in use and when off. It's a good option and if you don't have a USB C PD wall charger yet, it's only about $30 or so. You will probably get faster charging if you can get something over 30W though, and future laptops will probably require it, so keep that in mind.As for a power bank, I went ahead and picked up the Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD which does 30W PD output (and comes with the same 30W wall charger I have). The power bank charges it when the Surface is off, and when the Surface is in use it doesn't "charge," but the battery did keep steady at 60% for the few hours I was using it.I returned the Anker powerbank and for about $10 less I picked up J-Go Tech's "The Tanker Elite" powerbank with 65W output (they also have a cheaper one that maxes out at 45W). It doesn't come with a 30W wall charger like the Anker one did, so keep that in mind. This one charges the Surface when on and in use. Just happy to finally be able to sit anywhere I want when at the airport / coffee shop.5 stars because it works. It's a cable so basically it works or it doesn't work. The confusion over wattage and power sources is its own problem that comes with USB C PD being a new technology.J-Go Tech seems to be a new company. I haven't found much on them online, but I appreciate that they seem to be focusing on USB C PD products, and that market definitely needs more competition and variety. I've only used the charger/power bank a few times but I've not had any problems so far. If something comes up I will update this review.tl;dr - Great product if you know how to navigate the confusion that is the USB C PD market. Was able to switch out the Surface charger in my backpack with a 65W power bank that will also charge my Nintendo Switch and phone. I am now free to sit anywhere I want at the coffee shop while working.

Works perfectly! (UPDATE: Not anymore!)
Better than the regular brick charger. Can now use my Type C charger for all my devices. My charger supports 15V/3A USB PD profile. This is required based on the spec and works great.Update 12/6/2019:The cable no longer works. I checked and there is no USB Type C negotiation anymore. The cable is not moved but rather stays on my desk in place of the original Surface charger. Just today it stopped working so I am back to the original charger again. There are others on Amazon now at cheaper price. Would love if the company contacted me and sent a replacement. For now I am lowering to 2 stars due to longevity issue I just cannot recommend over other solutions I now see olavaipable for sale. I'll update again if the company contacts me or if I get a replacement. Look elsewhere for now.Update 12/12/2019:Customer service at J-Go Tech was absolutely fantastic! They contacted me and sent me a brand new cable. It works great and I am up and running again. They gave me some insight into possible failure on the bad cable so I am going to take it apart to root cause it to help them verify the issue. Much appreciate the responsiveness of J-Go's email communication and their efforts to quickly send me a replacement to get me back up and running! Rating back to 5 stars!

Work Great, Until it Melted.
Work great for a number of year, with very light use. I started to use it as a daily charger/power supply and after only a few weeks, noticed that the plastic plug, right next to the cord got extremely hot and melted. It quickly stopped working after that. Thankfully didn't do any damage, and my OEM cord still works. But this should not have happened.

Expensive but works with Surface Pro 4.
I purchased this cable for a recent trip to use with my Surface Pro 4 (M3 version) and I did not want the extra bulk of a separate charger for my SP4. I was able to charge my SP4 using this cable with my both Ravpower 20100 mAh 45W PD power bank and 61W PD wall charger. I do think it is expensive for just a cable but it served its purpose well and allowed me to take one less thing with me. Make sure your wall charger or power bank can deliver enough power before you buy.

USB-C all the things!
First off, my equipment:Device: Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) i5/8gb/128gbCharger: Anker PowerPort Speed 1I've been looking for a way to truly make my EDC all USB-C, and my Surface was the last one standing. After reading some of the top rated reviews I was nervous about compatibility, but I am perfectly happy with my setup. The Anker PowerPort seems to be perfectly compatible. The manufacturer has a wonderful checklist, so please just read it. It looks like a good majority of the bad reviews are down to people not reading the requirements. USB-C isn't just plug and play for everything.I have had a couple minor issues, but nothing I wouldn't expect from a device that makes something possible that before wasn't really supposed to be possible at all.- Occasionally, I will have to unplug-replug the charger a couple times to get it to charge. This only happens maybe once or twice a week, and I use it every day.- I have had one case of the Surface reporting that it is "plugged in but not charging." A quick replug of the cable and that disappeared. All in all, very satisfied. The construction of the cable feels good, and it is the perfect length for any reasonable desk setup.
