BURNHARD Dutch Oven, Cast Iron Cooking Pot with Lid & Lid Lifter - John 5,6 L

It came very well packaged and it's heavy as you would expect. You need to follow the instructions before first us and failing to do so will give limited success. I've used it several times now always in the oven and have found it does a great job with no issues. After each use I've had to spend sometime cleaning it properly.

This is a brilliant Dutch oven and well worth the money .....This is very well made

Superb build quality! This is a reassuringly heavy item; could easily last several lifetimes if well looked after. Put in the initial effort correctly seasoning this Dutch oven and you will have an indistructable non stick oven that performs great in your oven, gas top, or; if you want to go all Bear Grylls, over an open fire you can do that too. Trick is to re season every so often to maintain it as with all cast iron.

This pot is good value for money ' good for slow cooking currys stews ect also can use it for camping

Great Dutch oven used on the gas hob an conventional oven and camp fire, lamb , chicken etc ..meat falls off the bone abit weighty just fits into a 14 inch carry bag.

Great purchase, would recommend. Burning the cast in takes sometime but definitely worth it as bring a new way of cooking into your life.

I got this as a gift for my brother. It says it arrives pre seasoned, but youll definitely want to season it yourself before use. At the bottom of the pan are small hard black bumps that scrape off quite easily, im guessing its whatever they coated / seasoned the pan in. They come off really easily. Still has one more session of seasoning before it can be used and it does seem to have improved in texture with each season. As for the bumps I scrape them off and rinse the pot out. I hear from different people that a real cast iron pan should not have any bumps in it and it should be smooth.
