Great shave, great price!
For a few years, I got mg razors and blades from Dollar Shave Club. I hit a point when I had way too many blades, so I turned my membership off. About a year later, I turned it back on. The razor handles were different and my old blades wouldn’t work. I hate the new DSC blades! They clog up, they come off the handle too easily and when you don’t want them to, and they don’t last very long. I dropped DSC membership and told them why. They told me I could still get the heritage blades, but I couldn’t find them and my emails about them went unanswered. I went online to search for the old DSC blades. Dorco kept coming up and I didn’t know why. After a few searches, I realized the Dorco blades were the old DSC blades I liked to much. I ordered some and, sure enough, they fit my DSC razor. After using the new DSC stuff, these razors are amazing! Blades are sharp, spaced well for easy rinsing and cleaning, and they last a good while even on my tough whiskers. With Dorco, what you get is better than what you pay for. I believe they’re the best blades and razors you will find without paying triple or quadruple the price. You really should give these a try and see what you could be using…..and how much you could be saving!! As the president of Norelco used to ask: “What do you have to lose except your whiskers?”

Excellent Razor at an Awsome Price
My wife found the Dorco razors while looking for replacement blades for what I had been using. The price for the razor and 10 cartridges was actually less than what I've paid for a 5-pack of refills. After reading some positive reviews we decided to give it a try. I have for many years used either the Gillette Mach 3 Turbo or the Schick Quattro. I have always had a high opinion of both and this was the standard I was comparing to. I have been using the Dorco Pace for about a month and a half now. I am amazed. The blades stay sharp far longer than what I am accustomed to. I haved changed mine only once so far and I shave every day. Even when I did change it, It was still giving a good shave. They DO NOT clog. So many of the razors I have tried, including the Gillette and the Schick end up getting clogged between the blades. The Dorco Pace does not. It rinses easily and just stays clean. The quality of the shave is excellent as well. I actually get a closer, smoother shave than I have with either of my "past" favorites. At no point have I experienced razor burn or any irritation issues. I don't see myself ever going back to the Gillette or the Schick when I can get a better shave for less than half the price. Also, my wife decided to try my razor. She has used the Gillette Venus for years and was always telling me how much better her razors were than mine. Within a couple of days the Venus went into the cabinet because she ordered her own Dorco Pace. Even on her more sensitive skin there is no irritation. We're both hooked at this point.

Why pay too much for blade cartridges?
Dorco used to sell their products from their own site, but no more. Now you must purchase them from Amazon, but they are still great products. I use the six-blade carts, and I get a good, close and clean shave with no nicks. The carts last a long time, so much so that I tend to leave them on the handle too long. I don't know if six blades is "better" than four or five blades, and frankly I don't care. The big boys of shaving products now know they cannot get away with charging exorbitant prices for replacement carts any longer, and Dorco offers a variety of products for men and women that make shaving easy and affordable. Highly recommended.

Get this if you are using a three blade or less razor, or are afraid of trying a high blade count razor
Let me preface this update by telling you this: Dorco has, by far, some of the most pleasant customer support representatives I have dealt with regarding a product available on Amazon. I had originally posted my review that I was not really pleased with the blades, mainly this was an issue on my part: I did not give myself enough time to adjust to the razor (I had some ingrown hairs here and there) and secondly, I felt the loss of the trimming blade was a deal breaker. As a result, Dorco reached out to me, and provided me a sample of the blades with the trimmer. This is a very good razor. It is a step up from a three blade, it kicks ass for anything less and makes the cheap bic disposable ones look like the garbage they are. It provides a solid shave and it's by far worth the money. If you are using a three blade razor and are reluctant to upgrade to a larger blade count, this is a great razor to test the water. I went back with the sample blades and gave myself about two weeks or so worth of shaves. I also went back to an old reliable gel foam, this may have helped a bit with the quality of the shave. The shave is a good quality, you will be pretty smooth and the edger is a game changer (as it was on some of the larger brand razors). I recommend without issue, especially if you are currently using a three blade or less razor. The quality and ease of the shave with a multiblade razor will make you wonder why you didn't upgrade sooner. This razor won't tear up your face and generally doesn't irritate. I changed a blade each week for the two weeks and the shave was generally pretty consistent. I have sensitive skin, and in some areas I had to be more gentle while shaving or make sure to not go back over more than once, otherwise I risked cutting myself. I may shave differently or something, who knows. This is a great razor and a great starting point if you are curious about or afraid of trying a more complex razor. If you have stuck with you three blade this long I suspect you will stick with this blade style too. It's night and day with the added blades. The blade packages are also much more cost effective then some of standard Shick and Gillette. Personally, I am going to stick with a Gillette Fusion Glide Blade. I am an aggressive shaver and the added motion provided by the flex ball helps me not totally chop myself up. If you aren't an insane shaver like me, this razor will meet and/or exceed your needs. You will also save money on the blades which adds up over time. So, if you are using a three blade or less razor, give this razor a try. I have a hunch you won't be disappointed and stick with this blade. The price and number of blades you immediately make this price point very solid. If you are curious but were cautious due to the sticker shock or afraid you would chop off your face with a multi-blade razor, buy it. Give it a try. It's worth the test and I suspect you won't look back. I purchased this product with high expectations based on the numerous reviews here. I was pumped and couldn't wait for my first shave with what I expected would be an amazing razor. Boy, was I disappointed. The blades liked to randomly cut you for no reason (not shaving any different then I have for the past like 20 years). I tried several shaving creams and gels. I also tried different aftershaves too. The random cuts, the inconsistent shave quality and I found an increased number of ingrown hairs. I ended up going back to the Gillette Fusion and haven't looked back since. The shave is consistent with the Gillette and it cuts cleanly, safely and no more ingrown hairs. I will say this product does, indeed, shave. If you are using those cheap disposable bic razors this could be an upgrade. However, if you are using a real razor - stick with it. The quality shave is what matters and the blades that come with the Gillette razors are just sharper. Also, the lack of the edging razor sucked. I have about 16 razor heads now that will never get used. It's not worth the investment overall. Stick to a Gillette or Shic or your old school razors. This is maybe a step up from the Bic disposable razors.

The Dorco (stupid name) stylistically reminds me of a Bugatti
The first thing you feel when you switch razors to an entirely new system is a bit of trepdation. The handle is different, the weight is different and I really don't want to cut myself just to save a couple of bucks a month. But I got a great shave on day one, and an even better shave on day two. After two weeks I felt like it was time to change the blade. With the ProGlide this was more like every 8-10 days so I'll say the Dorco outlasted the ProGlide by 40%. Add that to the overall cost differential and the Dorco is half the price. So, what's it missing that the Gillette ProGlide has? The Proglide has a reverse-side blade for shaving little tiny spots, like around ones nose and it has the ability to pivot along two axis. Adding side-to-side swing might help if you have to shave a balloon, but I never saw it as a anything more than an extra complication for my morning routine. The reverse side blade was handy, but I don't see a problem with my grooming without it. What's it got extra. A ridiculous 6th blade. I see they will even sell you a 7-bladed razor. I doubt this is contributing to the longevity the cartridges and is little more than a gimick. NOTE: If you want a reverse-side blade, which Dorco calls a "Trimmer" you simple have to order the plus blades (6+). That solves my problem.

Best of the Dorco razors
I always loved Gillette razors but got sick of the hastle of buying them in the store and the ridiculius prices. Thought of trying a subscription service but I use my blades longer then recommended and didn't want the commitment to monthly service. So I did research and found dorco. I'm hooked. I have tried the 6+1 and the 7 but the regular 6 is my personal favorite. The 6+1 is ok but the single blade doesn't really work and adds to the back of the blade which makes it hard to clean/rinse. The 7 is amazing for a smooth shave but impossible to clean/rinse, wish it wasn't becasue it has the best shave. The 6 is same shave as 6+1, almost as smooth as the 7, but easy to rinse the hair and shave cream out. Although the 7 gives the best shave hands down the 6 is the best razor and what I will continue to order from Amazon.

Budget friendly without sacrifice.
A bit about me: I am a hard working mom who has champagne taste on a beer budget, because of that over the years I have had to learn some creative ways to get what I wanted without going into debt. As a result of a whole lot of reading, practicing and fen angling I have become one savvy shopper. The way I see it my money has to work for me so if I can get what I need at a lower cost without giving up quality than I can have more money for what I want. I have learned to rely heavily on reviews and word of mouth and some trial and error and discovered that a lot of lesser known brands are working twice as hard as big corporations to get your business so much hey are willing to give you an equivalent product at lower price in order to become known. We all know its not a bargain if you have to use twice as much or you feel cheap using it. Dorco is a name you can trust to equal quality! This is my second order of these razors. Hands down the best shaving value around. This 6 blade system is fantatic you can not get a closer shave. I I am a woman and have always preferred the men's razor systems over the woman's in comparison with my current favorite the Gillette fusion this razor wins hands down. What works for me: The handle is sturdy and feels to me to be the same quality as other popular brands I have used The blades attach securely to the razor handle it has survived many drops without having to stop and reattach. The blades last for me close to two weeks actually longer than my Gillette fusion blades Budget friendly blade replacements it costs less than $25 for approximately 12 replacement blades with Dorco vs $28 for approximately 8 Gillette fusion blades . Dorco has great customer service if you could not act them they respond. What doesn't work for me: 6 blades might b a little too close of a shave for my lady parts I had terrible razor burn on my legs. Overall, an A+ product, and a company with an A+ customer service team. I am a Full time employee making an average wage as well as a mom and a shopaholic on a budget. I stand behind my reviews and will share my opinions and experiences honestly. My opinions are 100% authentic and I will not give a quality rating to a product I don't feel is deserving. I hope you have found my review helpful If you did find this review helpful please click YES below.

Best Razors hands down
I love love love these razors. I ordered the women’s Amazon basic razors and every one felt like it was pulling out my hair instead of shaving it. Not these every razor has been sharp, smooth shave, and it is great. I shave my legs, under arms, bikini, and my hidden parts with no razor burn or the razor feeling like it is plucking my hair out. I got 10 cartridges, handle, and handle joker for $21 after tax. Yes I am pleased. These are the only razors for me!
