Daron Skymarks Delta 747-400 Airplane Model Building Kit with Gear, 1/200-Scale , White

This is absolutely a stunning, beautiful model of The Queen of the Skies. I now have nearly 30 Daron Skymarks airplanes, and this joins my El Al 747 and Iron Maiden 747. These models are beautifully detailed and are definitely a conversation piece.

I'm no expert on model planes, snap-together or otherwise [in fact, this is my first, and I only bought it to crash in slow motion for a movie trailer I'm making for fun...], but regardless, I was very impressed straight away with its quality. The fuselage is metal, or at least mostly metal, maybe with some plastic elements, but it's super solid and feels great in the hand. Good weight to the whole thing. The wings appear to be a solid plastic, feel very durable, and attached easily. The plane looks as good as I'd hoped, which is to say it looks excellent- the details are great, right down to some barely-visible print about the airline being operated by such-and-such company, near the rear. The landing gear looks great, too, and though it was a bit harder to insert correctly during assembly, feels solid. On the stand or a shelf on its own, I'd be proud display this if I weren't going to ram it into the dirt- with hopefully spectacularly cool-ish YouTube results!

I started buying Skymarks models because I don't have the time or patience to sit there, assembling an actual model plane and assembling it. I currently own eight different Skymarks models in addition to this one, and they are highly detailed and easy to assemble. I will caution that on models like the 747 where you have to attach the landing gears, they are small, so you will want to watch carefully. I dropped mine on a dark green carpet, and it took me about ten minutes to locate, and it does pose a choking hazard to pets/babies/kids. NOTHING Skymarks makes is a toy, so I urge you to follow the age guidelines or you're pretty much throwing money away. They do make a LOT of different models in a variety of liveries, and inside each package is a list of what they make. You can find many of them here on Amazon.

The quality exceeded my expectations. The model fuselage is solid and heavy and the details are on point. I bought this model to celebrate my competition of ground training to be a flight attendant and to add to my collection to my miniature metropolis. This is also a really good gift for lovers of planes and aviation.

First when you're doing a flight and you want to take the landing gear out you are going to have trouble with the left side landing gear on the back I had to use pliers to get it out second the planes right side wing doesn't latch in like the other side does the slightest pressure to move it will cause it to pop out besides that I give this a full five stars I love it I highly recommend it and if you're not like me that likes to take it apart and put it back in the packaging and then take it out and put it together and you just like to put it together and put it on display and you don't want anything to pop out or go missing than I highly suggest getting model glue to glue everything in place

I bought this for my son as a Christmas present. This is a very high quality model and is well built. The fuselage feels like it is a solid (not hollow) piece of plastic, and has some heft to it. It even feels very smooth when rolling on the rubber wheels of its landing gear. Sitting on the stand it looks like it is taking off for a long flight.

I work for Delta. This is an exact replica of our 747s. I put my hand & foot in the photos for size comparison.

Buena calidad, los detalles estan impresos pero se ven muy bien. Armado en menos de 5 minutos. El único detalle es que el tren de aterrizaje frontal está un poco flojo, pero no se cae.
