The North Face Women's Apex Bionic

I got this jacket after my close friend purchased one for herself and I saw how stylish it was. I absolutely loved how it looked and how warm and comfortable it seemed. Once it arrived I tried it on and I immediately noticed that it was much tighter than I had expected. So tight I could definitely not wear another sweater beneath it if it were necessary (I live in Chicago). The second thing that I realized was that it was not as warm as I had hoped. This is by no means a winter jacket but rather a spring/fall jacket you might wear when it is a bit chilly outside. I personally have too many light weight jackets for that purpose and could not picture myself buying another for the price so I returned it. It is by no means a bad jacket at all. I still love the jacket and love how it looks, but it is simply not what I was looking for/ expecting and definitely not something I can afford for the price since I do have plenty of other similar jackets already. I might buy one for my boyfriend who does not have as many light jackets as myself because it definitely seemed of quality and wouldn't expect the men's version to be any less.

This is my go to jacket during the winter for work travel and going out. It's very form fitting unlike my Columbia Kruser Ridge. I'm 5'3 and about 110. XS fits me perfectly. It keeps me warm in approx. high 50s wearing along with a thin top under. In 40s or low 50s, I would wear a down jacket underneath. It does get snug with a down but it still doesn't restrict my movements. Note that I live in Southern California so 40s-50s is extremely cold weather for me.One bonus feature on this jacket that I love is the fleece under layer on the end of sleeves. Instead of holding on to the soft shell sleeves with your fingers, you can hold on to the fleece layer and the soft shell layer can keep your fingers warm away from the wind. For those who are not wearing gloves, it's a nice touch.The only complaint I have is the collar doesn't stay down when I don't need it up, so it can be irritating to my chin. This won't stop me from buying this jacket though. I think this jacket will hold up and I will wear it for a long time. Absolutely worth the money!

Pictures and measurement included large, armpit to armpit almost 21", length 25" has some stretch, waist 19" I love this color. I have been stalking this jacket here on Amazon (my fav vender) and other sites, but $149. Is out of line for a light jacket, North face or whatever. When the price dropped on Amazon to about half, I ordered it. Not knowing exactly if I had the right siZe (only size @ that price) I took a chance because of Amazon return policy. I am 38DD 140lbs, and not young anymore ( thus a bit more @ the waist even in shape) the cut is very flattering, leaves a bit room for a thinner vest or fleece NF pullover. Pictured with my Palamona Purple NF pullover for color comparison. All NF have the haligon tag pictures, and this jacket is authentic. The outside is just a bit stiff (not bad) and it does make a bit of a noisy swish sound. I am hoping that goes away in time. I had another brand that did. I am extremely happy With Amazon's fast Prime shipping as I am mountain hiking next week.

I bought this in black- it seems to be good quality and fits well. Jury's out on how warm it will be because it's June right now.However, it's tighter than expected. I usually wear a small or a medium (5'6, 128, not large in the chest) and I bought a medium. It fits, but there's barely any room for the fleece I was planning to wear under it. I can zip it up with the fleece, but then it feels very constricting. It's only comfortable with a shirt or very thin sweater underneath.I expect this jacket will be great for cool days, but I was hoping to use it as a late fall/early winter jacket (in NYC), and that may not work.

I wanted a sleek warm fitted jacket I could wear at work because the building I work in is freezing cold. I dress in a business casual manner - usually slacks and heels. I wear a medium but since I wanted the jacket to be fitted, I went with the small and it is perfect. It isn't too tight but not loose enough for me to be able to add a sweater underneath. It looks great with all my outfits.

My Wife has worn her North Face Apex Bionic jacket maybe 5 times since her purchase on 11/1/17 and the zipper keeps coming apart at the bottom without fail. We have made attempts to contact the seller with no response...:

A little big but I don't mind. I wear this jacket every single day to work (really cold hospital) and it is the best. Super insulating. I am the kind of person who is always cold and this jacket has kept me comfortable in both outside temperatures in the 40s and in buildings with AC in the 60s/70s. There are a ton of pockets too- which is a huge plus!
