I already had one of thes for my right hand but needed one when I fell and badly hurt my left hand. It is a brilliant support as I have small hands and wrists and the hospital one provided was much too short and wide for me. This is a perfect fit and gives the right amount of support for both my hand and wrist. It has a steel support that can be removed for washing and when such firm support is not required. Well made and comfortable in use and a good price, too. Easy to put on yourself with your good hand so no waiting for someone to do it for you. Highly recommended.

I have adapted this brace to suit my needs. I have removed the the splint that is inside the brace. I put on the brace differently to the picture, so that only the area above my wrist and the wrist itself get support and not hand. This was easy to do as there are a number of velcro attachments. All the support is focused on the wrist area which for me is very weak. I wear this support when I am gardening and it definitely helps. It is too cumbersome for ordinary gloves, but my large thick gardening gloves slip over it fine. I am also able to lift up my new cylinder mower and put it on the grass using this firm supportive band without any ill effects. After being out in the sun in the garden an hour or two it was a relief to take them off! But I have always found this to be the case with any garment that gives support. They were a bit sweaty when I took them off not surprisingly, but then they are designed to conserve heart so I must not complain. Using them the way I do I would recommend these as wrist and upper wrist supports as they really do help. I wouldn't attempt to do any strenuous task without them.

Keeps the wrist stiff and straight. Useful when on a recent holiday where I had to pick up cases etc. Gets a bit sweaty after a while unsurprisingly. Don't wear it for too long at a time

Bought this for a really bad bought of tendonitis and ongoing nerve problems in my wrists. This really helped preventing movement of the wrist. When my tendonitis gets bad, it feels as if my wrist is broken. Using this support really helps prevent movement and thus reduces pain. It's also really good for stabilising your wrists if you suffer with carpal tunnel syndrome after sleeping. The only thing which I found uncomfortable is that it can sometimes rub on the outside of your thumb when worn for long periods of time. But overall they can be a real lifesaver when suffering with movement related wrist pain. Quite expensive, but worth it in my opinion.
