I have a Martin Cage and I was going to use this for my bunnies. was not sure if it would work outside the cage?

I had it outside the cage but for some reason the bunny would make a mess...all the hay would end up outside the cage and also inside. LIke I said before I am glad it was only 5 dollars to waste. You never know some bunnies my like it others are not about trying something new like mine.
