These are nearly impossible to unplug from the connection. The lights work off and on. No wonder there is only a 30 day return window...these suck!

nice and bright and work well unless and this was the killer for me if your doing any type of ultra 4 stuff it will not stay lit the mag mount cant handdle the rocky jumping and bounching it flickers and depending on the color you have set you may end up with two colors flickering i was on oj and when it came on white comes on first then oj can am RR model had the mag mount pooping out of place regularly.

This is installed on our dune buggy. It's nice and bright but the lights do look like a candy cane spiraling up the whip. We used it at an event recently and when we used the remote to turn it on, the whips on the buggy next to ours turned on, too. I was able to operate the 2 whips on the adjacent buggy, turning them on and off, one off, one on even though they didn't appear to be 5150's. Strange but I'm sure it was even stranger for the other buggy owner who we never saw! UPDATE: we've now had this for 4 years with fairly light use. It stopped working after about a year while we were in Southern CA so we stopped by 5150 and they tested then repaired it while we waited. COVID hit so we haven't used it very much in the past 2-1/2 years. We were on a road trip (Treffen 2022) recently and it worked at the beginning of our trip but quit at the end. Have power to the whip so it must be the whip itself again. 2 times in 4 years of light use. Now we have to ship it down to have it repaired. Just received the repaired whip back. Cost $30 to ship it for repair and it took 3 weeks from when they received it to get it back. It was shipped in cardboard and seemed like it was adequately taped but the whip popped out on both ends of the shipper. Hopefully, it works. Great warranty but I'm disappointed that we've had to have it repaired twice in 4 years of light use.
