Works with 8gb and 1gb in a mac mini 2011 for those spreading out the cost
Bought this for my Mac mini mid 2011, installed in about 60 seconds no screwdrivers needed, I have this along side my 1gb that came with it totalling 9gb and it works perfectly, in case anybody s wondering, I will buy another 8gb and go for the 16gb max in a week or two when I can afford it :) Absolutely brilliant piece of kit though, thoroughly recommend to any mac users with small ram.

What took me so long?
MacBook Pro, 15" late 2011. Dragging my life to a standstill trying to do the simplest of tasks with 4GB of RAM. Enough was enough when I upgraded to High Sierra. Did a little research and chose to buy 2x8GB chips. As others have said, 10 mins (follow the instructions and have the right tools) and we're up and running at least as good as it was when my Mac was young. I was going to go for an SSD, but as it is, it works well enough. 100% recommended.

Expand your Mind for less
Yippee!I got two of these 8gb sticks to go along with a previous purchase of 2x4gbs, giving me a total of 20gbs.If I had bought from Apple, it would have cost over three times as much, so I am one very, very happy bunny.I use my late 2011, 27" iMac as my main media hub, (I don't own a television of any kind) and also to make music on a semi-professional level.I'm now able to run larger sessions, video tracks and many more plug-ins at lower latency. Large sample files, once cached into memory, now open and play instantly.Video and photo editing have also benefited from this RAM overkill, along with multi-tasking many more Apps.I would definitely recommend this product and this Seller.

Mac Late 2011
Worked amazingly for my mac 2011 (late) which had an issue with the ram. (3 beeps).A store quoted me 300 pounds to do a motherboard repair. After some research online I found I was able to check if it was the RAM, or the RAM ports thats were faulty. One of the RAM ports in my macbook was dysfunctional. I was able to replace this and leave one slot empty and have managed to make my Laptop work fully again.I dont know how long this fix will last but it was well worth the 40-50 pound spend to get all my computer files re backed up!! :)Very happy! And this Crucial 8GB is apparently the max a slot should hold.

Great RAM
Bought this for a Mac Mini (mid 2011) and added it to 4GB Crucial RAM (this 8GB in the bottom slot and the 4GB in the top slot) for 12GB total. It's fully recognised and works great!

gotta say this module works perfectly well will my LENOVO ...
gotta say this module works perfectly well will my LENOVO W520... yes i said lenovo not mac ... reason i bought this module was because i was unable to find ddr3 at 1333 mt/s at a decent price ... so i took a risk and it paid of ... i mean the specs where trhe and it looks exactly the same ashttps://www.amazon.ca/Crucial-PC3-10600-204-Pin-Notebook-CT102464BF1339/dp/B005J4C820/ref=sr_1_38?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1478307693&sr=1-38&keywords=8gb+1333+204sold by the same company same exact specifications price 80 cad + shippingthe only reason why im not giving it a 5 start rating is because i just got it ... my computer speed didnt seem to increase ... but i litteraly instal it minutes ago so i have to test it to see if there is any performance increase

Mac Mini Mid 2011
Bought this for my Mac Mini Mid 2011, which previously had two gigabytes. The install was super easy and I didn't have a single problem. Since this is one eight gigabyte chip I went ahead and left one of the one gigabyte chips that came with the machine inside. Apple says the max RAM this machine can handle is eight, but it recognizes and works with nine just fine. So unbelievably impressed with the difference it makes. Nothing lags, can have several apps open at once, several tabs. Even web pages load faster. Definitely recommend buying this. I would also recommend checking the Crucial website to see what RAM is compatible with your machine. Here is a link where you will find that: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory-info?cm_re=top-nav-_-flyout-memory-_-us-memory

Super happy with my 2011 iMac's performance now!
Did a little research on installing this before purchasing, was a little apprehensive as I'm not a tech person at all. But my 2011 iMac was running excruciatingly slow (Photoshop would take several minutes to open, 30+ seconds to save) as I only had 4GB of memory, the original amount from when purchased. It was super easy to install, just had to push it the slot fairly hard (that was a little scary!) but once computer rebooted it was definitely a noticeable difference. Super glad I invested in this, excited to get several more years out of my iMac!
