The no tensioner required claim is false, at least for a 2000 gmc sonoma it is.This timing chain will stretch out after about 1000 miles and will start making a rattling sound. I purchaced a cheap tensioner, installed it and now it's quite as a mouse.

How can they even sell this?
The timing chain will slap against the timing cover after installing this set. I don't know how they can even sell this. The timing chain for these engines requires a tensioner. Go with genuine GM/AC Delco for all timing parts, especially the tensioner -- which is 100% necessary.
