NOOo! Lock code can be reset even when locked, by anyone!
No, these are just wrong. Zero protection! You can change the lock code while the lock is locked! Seriously, you lock it, someone pushes in the reset button, places their code in, the lock opens. Then your stuck with the unknown code from the person who just opened it. Not to worry, push the reset button in and put in another code, it opens. Most of these types of locks have to be open to change the code. Not these. Seriously, anyone can change the lock code at anytime by just pushing reset.

Stopped working before even used once.
I was so excited when I got this set, but my excitement didn't last long. Got the package 2 days ago, fast shipping and all that was great. Reset one lock for my kid to take to the gym with her yesterday. She didn't get to use it, but this morning I just wanted to see how the lock works. It wouldn't respond to the combination I set - open button just dead in one position. I tried resetting - the reset button wouldn't dip in either, like it was stuck. Oops, unexpected... So I didn't even mess with the other lock, return is going out today. I'm just glad it happened in my hands and not in the gym on a locker room, then it would be so much worse. I bought this set because reviews were good, and I needed two locks. I have to share my experience though. Maybe that lock was defective, who knows, but I'm not brave enough to buy it again.

Bigger and heavier than I expected, but effective.
They did the job and were as advertised, but I have a couple of gripes:- They are larger and heavier than I expected. Given our new "TSA Approved" world, we're not going to get a secure lock, just a deterrent. Small and light would be preferred. Each lock is 2.2oz, which is significant if you're backpacking.- The numbers are hard to read in some (especially dark) conditions since the polished chrome dials reflect what's around them. I had to use my phone flashlight several times to enter the lock code. Black dials with white numbers or something similar would work better. They worked fine. The cable pops right out when the proper code is entered and the button is pressed, so they do the job well.Note that there are some other versions of this lock for sale that include a security cable with loops on each end, allowing you to secure your bag to something. That would be a nice option for people trying to avoid a snatch and run situation on a train, etc.

I'm glad they sent two
I'm glad they sent two. The reset button stuck up on the first one when I was setting the code. After I did my code I jumbled the numbers to hide the code, a second later something clicked. I went back to open it using my code and of course it didn't open, it had taken my jumbled numbers as the code because the reset button dropped down after the jumble. Figures that I didn't take note of where those numbers were since I didn't know what happened. I learned my lesson and was much more careful with the second one! And it wasn't operating error by me. On the second one as soon as I released the reset button it dropped down and recorded my code correctly.Other than that I really like the look and how sturdy the lock is!

Good lock for multi zippered backpacks
Since I don't have spare eyes to watch the backpack zippers when I travel, this is the solution. The trick is to line the zipper pulls up as close as possible to each other then use this lock. It helps to have a bit of cable length since they don't all line up in the same area. The weight is negligible, and the item price is more reasonable than the other shopping site that starts with e and ends with Bay.Any deterrent is to your advantage when foiling criminals.

Setting the code was easy, and I figured we'd be in good shape
I needed a new lock for travelling, and wanted to get away from the key ones, in case I accidentally lost them. Setting the code was easy, and I figured we'd be in good shape. I will say the loop is a little bigger than expected. Well, my bags arrived safely in Thailand, but I noticed one of them didn't have a lock on it anymore. Then a few seconds later, I see the lock on the belt, and the loop was broken. It was still looked like it was locked, but apparently the metal string had ripped in transit. I really wanted to like this product, but I guess it's just not very durable, heck only 1 of it made it 1 trip! So now I have ONE overpriced lock, and I'm scared to use it again for fear that this one won't provide any protection for my luggage either as it might break along the way.

Very temperamental locks. Not a good mechanism
These are low cost but they don't work well compared to higher quality and more expensive TSA locks. I didn't buy them for luggage but for a game. Setting them was a fiddle because often the silver pin that you push in at the bottom didn't release fully when you let it go. If you don't notice that and then move the numbers it can randomly release sometime after, leaving you with no idea what code it has set to unlock for. That makes it useless. I lost one out of the 6 locks I bought that way (once it happened once I knew to be really careful and watch for the sticking as I set the rest of them. The line that you have to use to line up the numbers is not clear and the slightest lack of alignment makes the lock not work. There is no clear click as you move the numbers to help you with the alignment. Luckily I didn't buy these for luggage - could have been a disaster if I had if I couldn't get them open while on vacation. Don't recommend.

No brainer
These locks are just what we needed for backpacking abroad. For small locks They have a good secure weight to them, but still light enough for travel. The metal wire is pretty long which is nice for locking up more than just one zipper. They worked for locking things in lockers at hostels as well as locking some zippered pockets on our backpacking bags. The price was perfect, saw the same lock in the airport and one was the same price as this double pack. Easy to set your code. I think these locks will last quite a while! Great buy.
