Keeping your guns looking in tip top shape before a new hunting season is important.
I bought the Birchwood Casey stain to redo my gun stock. This stuff works great and it dries up fairly quick. I highly recommend this product! Thanks

May need a couple coats
The stain is great, and the color is excellent for old rifles. Sand, clean, and have at it. Some of the wood had dark and light sections that took the stain differently- as wood does. After multiple light coats, they were still shades different, but closer in color. Would use again.

Small bottle- decent results
The directions indicate to dilute by 50% with water. I did do this and the color turns out on basswood kid of a grayish color. ( which is fine) It goes on pretty smooth with a brush. It does clean up easily with water, but of course I stained my hands for a day. The finish still needs a clear coat on it to protect it. It’s a very matte finish. I’m just making earrings and signs on my laser, and this worked ok for me.

Small project
This worked super well for my small project. Was easy to brush on, and I was able to use a couple coats to make things the darkness I desired. Clean up was pretty easy too. This is just a small bottle. Good for small projects.

Walnut: easy to use but color isn't great
Very easy to use and no fumes or odor but the color is very grey / charcoal and doesn't look great. Tried it on a few types of wood, including actual walnut and it lacks richness and comes out very ashy in color. I was expecting more red tones.

Ir is a very good stain.
It is a very good wood stain. It covers the entire surface very well. I recommend using it as is, not mixing it with water. It turns out a walnut color.

Watery mess. Clumpy
Would not buy again. While B-C makes some vg products IMO, this one failed. Watery and nothing but clumps. Wouldn’t thin no matter how many time I shook it. Just bubbled up. Returned for credit. Amazon took care of it.
