This makes BIG LOAVES!I tried several dough weights & actually 1.7 to 1.8kg of dough does seem best (which is 4lb). I didn't think it would need this much but if you want a truly big loaf then you do need at least 1.6kg to fill the tin.The recipe I use for a sandwich loaf is:Flour 1000gWater 650gSalt 20gYeast 10gUnsalted butter 30gMix & knead for a few mins to develop gluten. Add butter & continue to knead until no longer sticky. Proof & shape as usual. Bake for 45 minutes @ 190c.Marked down to 4 stars because it's same price to buy 2x 3lb tins, making this quite pricey as a single 4lb tin :(Also it seems quite light & thin although mine hasn't distorted at all after 4 loaves. My 'Stellar' 2lb tin is heavier than this 4lb tin though.Overall I’m pleased with this. Time will tell whether it’s durable enough.

I used these to make my own homemade bread only ever used 2lb tins but the 3lb is so much better for a family sized loaf

Started losing it's coating onto the bread after a few uses.

Good well made construction and stands well while baking with no deformation of shape.

Was looking for a decent sized loaf tin for making cheesy tear and share bread. When it arrived I was surprised how large it was but it is absolutely brilliant - does the job perfectly, just the right size, bread comes out with ease and so easy to clean too. I would always spray a light coating of oil before each time I use it just to ensure it does come out easily. Highly recommended product.
