Comfortable
This lap desk is very comfortable for long periods of use. However, the top is very slick. My laptop kept sliding off of the hard plastic raised bump side. I had to put two long strips of sticky back loop tape across the upper and lower edges on the bottom of my laptop, then I put the corresponding sticky back hook tape on the bumpy side of the laptop board. Now the laptop never slides off and the lap desk is wonderful to use while traveling.

Most UNCOMFORTABLE lapdesk I have ever used...OUCH!!!!
I wish I could post "0" stars. Absolutely the worst lap desk I have ever bought. It looks cool, clean, and functional. But it definitely isn't functional. First of all, the "rough side" that was created to allow your computer to breath made my computer slide off at the slightest change of angle on my lap. I had to catch my macbook several times from sliding off. Also, the reason I sent this product back after 2 days was because the rim/edge of the desk is raised. So...when you lay your forearms on it to type, it HURTS SO BAD!!!!! Very very uncomfortable. I could not deal with. I returned it and bought a way more comfortable one for half the price. Do NOT buy this product if care at all about being comfortable while typing on your laptop.... If you want a neck pillow-then you are good to go.

I must warn..
The pillow part of this lap desk is great! Nice and firm, but the desk part is made of a hard plastic and is noticeably, uncomfortable on my wrists. My laptop slides unless I sit real straight. My chief complaint is that there are two plastic buttons on the sides of the desk that are sharp! I actually cut myself on one of them! All of the other buttons around the perimeter are fine, but the buttons on the sides, for some reason, have sharp points on them. I'm going to have to dull them somehow, before letting my grandkids use it for their homework. I've had three or four laptop desks before this one and my favorite, comfort wise, has been Computer Lap Desk 45097 Rest Wrist Rest - 18.75" X 2.75" X 14.75". I have one in my cart from Walmart on-line. I chose this one instead and wish I hadn't. I have yet to find a lap desk that is convenient to carry around in my computer bag. They are either too big lengthwise and/or too puffy. The one from Walmart does have a carry handle at least.

No grip.
Usually I spend a lot of time searching for the right product before I buy things. With this, I kind of just added it to the cart and purchased it. I regret that decision.Pros:ComfortableDual sided.Neck pillow removable.Cons:No grip whatsoever on either side. Unless you put something on it that has a grip-like bottom, its going to slide all over the place.I got this to use as a general lap table. To eat on and use with the laptop. Plates slide everywhere and the laptop does the same. So these tables get no use. We just ended up with some neck pillows (I purchased two of these).

I like this product because its configuration makes it comfortable, and the bumps on the surface work well to hold things in place.

This lap desk is exactly what I was looking for. I was concerned when I read the reviews about others having problems with their laptops sliding around. It must just depend on your laptop because I do not have that problem at all. I can lounge on the sofa with my knees slightly raised so the lap desk is not flat and my laptop sticks to the top like its on a nonskid surface. I am so happy to be able to sit comfortably in the family room with my lap top. This was a well-spent $15!

I dont advise buying this
I rarely review stuff but... put this on my lap n set ipad on it laid my hands on the wireless keyboard i have and immediately knew i hated it. The plastic edge will eventuall rub u raw. The big cushy pillow u see on pics is actually quite flat. i would have kept it if it wasnt for the hard plastic edge that rubs ur wrists.

Too hard and slippery
Like many other reviewers the top is too hard and slippery. I could fix that with a rubber mat, but the sharp edges hurt your wrists. Unless it is completely flat everything slides off. Very disappointed.
