Well made. Accurate. Very small. Install at eye level if possible. Difficult to see installed with the spike on the ground. I’m an old fart and it is difficult to reach the ground since God moved the ground so far down.

Easy to install, read and empty, but doesn't catch anything in the wind! We will have a thunderstorm blow through and leave at least 1" and nothing will end up in the gauge.

This rain gauge is perfect. I have it set in one of my flower pots. Gathers the rain water accurately - easy to put into and take out of the soil. I also like that the vial is plastic and not glass. My previous rain gauge was glass and broke once the weather got cold.

It's smaller than I expected (may be my fault for not checking more closely), so therefore more expensive than I would pay for one that size in the nearest discount chain store.

Why is it so hard to find a rain gauge. Loved this one. Need to order another one since I managed to break this one.

Catches and measure great

I bought this because the picture shows a metal bracket and a glass rain gauge that should last a long time in the sun. Beware, it comes with a plastic bracket, that will likely crumble within a few seasons due to UV exposure. It could just as well have been all plastic. What is the use of a glass gauge if the bracket is plastic?
