Amazing product
I’ve been wearing attached braces for a few weeks! My tongue is shredded and the back of my cheek . I’ve tried EVERYTHING to make it more comfortable from Amazon? Wax ? Is absolutely useless! Ortho dots are good but extremely expensive? Then I spotted this ! 1 application and it feels like an absolute dream, it’s a thick cream you apply over the area that is shredding your mouth and it stays put and you get instant relief! Absolutely brilliant!

Amazing stuff
I bought this to use with my Invisalign as they were rubbing my gumline and causing a lot of discomfort, I'd already tried dental wax but it was too messy and didn't really stay in place, this stuff was amazing so easy to use, it's more like a paste than a gel, I put it directly onto the aligner rather than on my gum and it stayed in place and eased the discomfort immediately, would definitely recommend for any kind of issues with braces or clear aligners

Really helpful for retainers
This was recommended by my dentist as soon as I started wearing retainers. The area has to be very dry for the gel to stick and do it’s thing but if applied correctly, it really helps avoid rubs and heal sore areas. It sticks so well on contact with saliva or water that taking it off your finger can be quite a challenge!Worth it.

I recommend this for metal braces wearers!!
First time using this iglu, recommended to me by friends who have also had adult braces. I can honestly say this was a saviour.After using up two boxes of wax on my first wire change, this was an awesome alternative.I was expecting something resembling bonjela, but this is completely different. It exits the tube almost like a heavy lip balm similar to lanolin as it’s very thick, I read that there was paraffin wax in the ingredients too. You then have to put it on your finger and swipe it on the area you want it- it’s important to swipe and not dab. Once it’s in your mouth, it soon expands into a thick wax like paste and covers any ulcers or areas like the Ortho wax would. It almost glues your inner mouth as it’s so thick, quite gritty and sticky but it really does wonders. I’ve been using this for three days, day and night and I have no ulcers or sores, this will definitely last me until my next visit when I can get more wax.It does form a wax like paste on your finger too so it can be difficult to wash off, you almost have to scrape it off. It also has a nice minty taste to it which helps a bit.I’m very pleased as I think the price was well worth the product and I will purchase this when it runs out.

I must be doing something wrong!
I’ve needed my teeth straightening all my adult life. I’m now into my 50’s and have finally summoned up the courage (and funds) to get it done. From the start, the inside of my cheeks were sore and cut from the fixed braces. The orthodontist gave me some wax but it’s useless. So going by the 5-star reviews for this gel, I decided I had nothing to lose. Well what a faff! I now have a coating of the stuff where I put it on my brace but it moved and stuck to the side of my cheek. To be honest, my cheek feels less sore and the mintiness is quite cooling but it feels unpleasant and bits of it are already migrating to the corner of my mouth where I have to peel it away or look like a right numpty. It’s defo better than wax but it’s expensive for a tiny tube and for me at least, the benefits are minimal.

MUST HAVE FOR BRACES/RETAINERS THAT RUB ON YOUR GUM AND TONGUE!!!
This is a must have product for anyone with braces or retainers. I’m 23 years old and have new alingers, which of course caused great discomfort in my mouth, especially rubbing against the back of my tongue and on my gums. I brought this in desperate need to stop this rubbing and irritation and it worked like an absolute DREAM! I use it every night before bed and every morning to stop the rubbing and it works incredibly well and best of all, instantly!This has saved my mouth and I would reorder every single time. Please if your child or if you’re suffering with rubbing in your mouth from dental work then invest in this! If the tube was bigger, it would be better, but this would not put me off buying the product as it is that good!

A lifesaver for troublesome teeth & gums
Used this amazing product to cocoon a tooth & gums that were giving me trouble while I waited for treatment at the dentist & I don't know what I would have done without it. It comes out of the tube as a dryish paste & it's important to use a dry finger to apply it to the problem area using a wiping action to leave the paste in place. After a few minutes it reacts with saliva to turn into a smooth gel & you can use your tongue to gently smooth it out during this time. After about 10 minutes it will have formed a smooth & stable cocoon which, in my case, brought great comfort & it can last for quite a long time providing you don't melt it away with a hot drink! It is very sticky once it gets in contact with the moisture in your mouth so it takes a bit of practice to get used to applying it without getting it stuck where you don't want it but well worth a try if you've got discomfort with teeth or gums.

Best gel for rubbing brackets etc!!!
I thought this was a regular soothing gel when I bought it but turns out it’s both soothing and creates a genuine barrier on gums and cheeks. The barrier is actually a bit difficult to get off because it stays on the area so we’ll but it fully prevents rubbing if you have a canker sore or something similar. A must have for braces!

Carbomer, hydroxypropylcellulose, white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin and peppermint oil.
Directions
CLEAN:
Use a clean tissue to gently remove excess moisture and saliva from problem areas of the brace, or from sores or ulcers inside the mouth.
APPLY:
Squeeze a small quantity of Iglu Protect onto a clean, dry fingertip or cotton bud. Apply directly to the problem areas of the brace or any sores or ulcers inside the mouth using a single, gentle wiping action (avoid dabbing).
ACTIVATE:
The gel might seem paste-like and sticky at first, but on contact with saliva it will form a thick, adhesive and malleable gel. When applying it to parts of the brace, you may find it helpful to use the tip of your tongue to gently form it into a smooth coating over any protruding areas.

Dry the area round your tooth then warm wax slightly between fingers, mould into rough shape and push into your filling gap. The igloo stuff forms a layer,it may work but try the wax too. Hope this helps. I find using the entire wax strip more beneficial.
