Great shades - kept these over the Bose!
My better half and I saw the Bose version of these glasses at Best Buy and were both intrigued. However, with a $100 or less gift rule and uncertain if heâd like them, I chose these. He cheated and got me the Bose for Christmas. We both loved our different brands of audio glasses, but I returned the Bose. Knowing how great these worked just felt like a waste to keep the Bose. (Yes, Bose has more stylish designs for sure, but Iâm trying to be responsible!) To compare the two, the differences we noted are 1) These are lighter to wear - more comfortable. But the Bose are comfortable, too. 2) The Bose feel more expensive, but that probably also has to do with the weight? 3) Bose has a proprietary charging plug, whereas this one uses one you can easily replace if lost 4) This brand is easier to control than the Bose, I believe. I believe the button on the side allows you to easily answer calls, power on and off, change a song, etc. The Bose I think may have that option but it was not as intuitive for sure. But if I recall, the button was to power on/off and you used an app to control features? (I may not recall correctly but I remember having the thought of the less expensive shades being more user-friendly.) 5) Both shades hold plenty of power charge. My hubs wears his all day talking on the phone driving around and no issues. Has run after work with them on and still has a charge to listen to music. 6) SOUND - both sound great. Very clear audio/voice calls and music sounds good. Compared side by side, Bose naturally edges out this pair, but itâs really not a huge noticeable difference to justify the cost. Honestly, itâs minor and we noticed it most playing Led Zeppelin. You can easily talk to others in person while the music is playing. You can also hear your surroundings which is great for safety. NO, others cannot hear your calls or music. Maybe if theyâre right up on you giving you a hug but 2-3 feet away in the car I canât hear the other person on the phone talking nor his music. Same with Bose. My final thoughts are 1) No, you donât need these but you will quickly love them. So convenient and more comfortable than an ear piece. 2) If youâre worried about using the Bose enough to justify the cost increase or just losing them, get these. In both our opinions, the Bose are only worth it if you simply want a more chic and stylish looking pair of shades and just want to say you have Bose sunglasses. Purchase these with confidence!

Awesome shades!
These sunglasses are really cool. The sound is surprisingly good & theyâre a refreshing alternative to wearing earbuds on an outdoor jog. They work exactly as advertised: iOS/Android Bluetooth compatible (I pair mine w/ my iPhone), 30 foot Bluetooth range (accurate), Smart Assistant Voice Command (can press one button on the sunglasses and request anything you need from Siri)... The volume is controlled through your connected device rather than the sunglasses, however you can use voice command on the sunglasses and say âturn volume to maxâ if your phone is sitting 30 feet away and the sunglasses will adjustâgood if youâre in the pool and donât want to get out. You can listen to music, make phone calls, etc with these. The only minor drawback Iâve noticed is the blue pairing light on the inside of the right arm is a little too far forward. Every now and then youâll notice a blue light flash out of the corner of your eye if thereâs some momentary cloud cover. You would rarely notice it in sunny conditions.

Better with Apple Watch
Just an initial impression review - received today. Like many of you, I spent hours reading reviews and researching via YouTube. Seems among the non-earbud varieties, many reviewers are not seeing the value in bone conduction glasses at the $130-200 price range. Mixed reviews of brands like VocalSkull in the $100 range, too. But many of these have touch features on the arm - swipe to skip tracks, tap to answer call, etc. These glasses do NOT have those features. There is only one operating interface - a single button. Press on, hold for Siri, hold long to pair, hold longer off. Siri activation does not convey via mic - phone has to be in earshot.I had tempered expectations for $59, theyâre mostly met. Sound I would say is good. Geek factor is there to have ambient music playing from glasses. Midrange is good, vocals are pretty crisp, bass is OK but weaker.Phone calls sound pretty good. Iâm told by the caller my voice sound is on par with car audio or Apple Watch calling.Which brings up a neat hack - using the sunglasses with the Watch. You can pair the glasses directly with the watch to play stored music from the watch. Or as long as the phone is in range (pocket or bag), accessing Siri or music controls on the watch while the glasses are âdumb speakersâ worked well. It would be nice to have more controls on the glasses, but for half the price, the watch is a âvalue hackâ I can live with.Oh, and âhey, Siriâ (which I never use) works well, too, as long as your phone can hear you directly. She listens via phone but speaks via glasses. âHey Siri, volume 66 percentâ works great, for example. The sunglasses part of the package is simple, clean, and nice. Red lens tint is cool and just seems to go with the already-over-the-top fact that these sunglasses play music. As I studied other models Iâm pleased with how thin the arms are. On or off the head, their profile really can pass for regular Wayfarer-style sunglasses. No bulk factor on the arms like some others.Tried on at night, burning music for only an hour. No reports on darkness/dimming quality of the lenses or battery life. Oh, another reviewer commented on the paired light flashing and being distracting. They were right. Sitting back about .75â from the right inner temple thereâs a blue strobe about every 8 seconds. I think a piece of electrical tape or a dab of paint could fix this - but jeez, designers... come on!I bought these for the beach. I expect their application will be satisfied nicely: a little music, a little waves, all while still being able to hear that satisfying beer can âfffsssstttttâ opening.
