Sell or Be Sold: How to Get Your Way in Business and in Life Review: A sales classic! - Love this book! As a company CEO I'm not only the leader over the sales team, but I am always "selling" in one way or another – whether I need to sell a big account on working with my company, or "sell" a potential employee on why they should join my team, everything I do is really about persuasion and getting people aligned to a purpose. Grant really helps you understand how "sales skills" are vital to anyone in today's world, whether they have "sales" in their title or not. In this book he really breaks down the key skills, traits, and *disciplines* that make a great salesperson. Many people think that great salespeople are just "born that way". While there certainly are some people with some innate talent, the truly great performers are disciplined and committed. They make sales a profession and treat it as such, and they study and learn from the greats. And GC is absolutely one of the greats. Highly recommended! Review: Sell or Be Sold: A Philosophy for All - Sell or Be Sold: That's not only the name but also a philosophy about life. Grant does a great job explaining that when dealing with anything in life you can either choose to sell or persuade the world to get behind your ideas, beliefs, and dreams... OR get sold on others perspectives. He also does a great job detailing the most important thing about salesmanship. This idea is about what makes a good salesman. Many say a good salesman can sell ice in an igloo or sell water doing a thunderstorm or whatever else is unnecessary. Grant takes an opposite approach. He states that to be able to be a good salesman you have to be SOLD on your product or service. That's the key. The most important sale you can make is to yourself. By being sold yourself on your product it allows you to sell it. If you don't believe wholeheartedly in your product you need to get a new job or start a new business. That's the key. For example, Grant states a vegetarian should not work at steakhouse. Why? They are selling meat, of which, they do not eat. It's hard to sell something you, yourself are not sold on. That's his point. Get sold on your product and then it will be easier to sell to others. Grant's book is a great one. Read it. There are somethings I don't particularly think are right about sales or life in general, but it doesn't detract from his central message. Be Sold on what you have to offer the world and it will be much easier to get people behind your ideas and passions.

Motivating
Grant Cardone keeps it simple and gives clear reminders on staying positive, handling rejection, and keeping new leads coming in. I liked the straight talk and the strong push to take action instead of waiting for the perfect moment. The only drawback is that some points are repeated, and the early chapters can feel longer than they need to be.

A Great Sales Book
This is one of the better sales books I have read. Great info but a few negatives that keep it from a 5. I am a fan of Grant and his over the top style. It's who he is. To some that may be annoying and I hope they will get past it and enjoy this book. But if you don't know who Grant is I would suggest watching some of his videos on YouTube before buying this book to get a feel for his style. I believe some will not enjoy this book due to his style. Also Grants religion and it's influence on his writing should not be used as a negative for this book. But clearly a few reviews have. He clearly hints at it if you know but is not open about it like Zig Ziglar was. No man can create a great book without things like his religion seeping through. I do appreciate that Grant keeps it to the background. But be aware that it is there and if you dislike it please avoid this book. My religious faith is different from his but it did not change my enjoyment of the book. I honestly think Grant could in time be one of the great sales and motivational trainer of our time. But he has work to do before he can fill the shoes of greats like Zig. But you can see him evolving as he goes.

BEST BUSINESS INVESTMENT I HAVE EVER MADE
If you are struggling in anyway in sales or in life for that matter read or listen to this book. I have been in sales all my life. That's over 50 years, and I must have read 6 dozen or more sales books and programs over that time. It's probably more than that. . That aside, here is what you need to know. I found MORE successful ACTIONABLE information in this book than all the rest combined, PERIOD!!! Not only was it actionable, it was EASY!!!! I can't stress the above enough. If you have been looking for the way out of whatever has you trapped in life. I personally like the audio book because Grant really animates the material and makes it incredible fun. Every other sales book I have ever read have been mostly helpful and I would get a good tip here and there but this is different. I have over doubled my income using this book and my wife who has never really sold anything is a crazy selling machine now. If she keeps this up I'm going to be a kept man LOL Read or listen to these also.. The 10x Rule: The Only Difference Between Success and Failure Be Obsessed or Be Average How to Get and Stay Motivated I you were looking for a hand up. Here it is. The above is true :)
