HAFLINGERGZ Clog

We don't wear outside shoes inside the home. We leave those in the garage on a reach and wear house shoes.For that purpose, we all wear Halflingers as house shoes. They're comfy, fit well, easy on and off and last a long time. The clogs are never too warm or cool. They always seem to be just right, winter or summer or anything in between.

Just purchased and received my second pair of Haflinger wool felt clogs. I love these shoes. Love love love love. They're comfortable, go with just about any casual outfit I can put together, and take quite the beating. My last pair lasted about a year and a half; I know that doesn't seem like a long time, but this is a wool felt clog, and I wore them in pouring rain and in the dead of Midwestern winter, snow and all, walking too and from and trekking all over campus. (They kept my feet impressively dry and definitely warm!) I only tossed my last pair because the toes were starting to wear thin and I had a hole developing on the inside of one - no hole yet, but you could feel it coming loose. For the hell I put these shoes through, I'm certainly not complaining. I imagine they'd hold up a lot longer with someone who was a little gentler with them. (I.e., not traipsing around in mucky snow and ice and slush for five months out of the year.)I have no idea what I'll do if they ever stop making this shoe. I live for it. Definitely worth the price tag.(N.B. - It would be safe to order a size down. I'm normally an 8.5-9 US women's, and often have to get a wide fit. The 8M US women's fits very well, snugly - yet there's space inside to be able to wear thick socks, even for my wide feet!)EDIT 11 July 2012: I am sorry to report that this second pair did not hold up to the beating quite as well as the last pair. I don't know if it's a manufacturer's issue, or if I was doing something differently. I think I might try to move up a size, because I think it may have had something to do with wearing them with wool socks; the uppers began to pull away from the bottoms fairly early, which never happened in the first pair. The first pair I gave up on because they were wearing thin. Also, the cork soles of this second pair started coming apart relatively early in the shoe life, even taking into account that I was wearing them as an all-purpose shoe. I love this shoe - I don't love having to write a edit indicating hesitancy for buying a third pair this fall. I love this shoe, and hope the third pair holds up a little bit better than the second.

I’ve been wearing this same slipper/shoe for 20+ years and absolutely love them. Like a Birkenstock footbed they form to your feet. However, I find the Haflinger to be more comfortable. Toe box is extra roomy especially for us wider folks. Long lasting, superb quality and a new rubber sole which I am enjoying. Although these keep my feet toasty during winter I do wear them in summer without having sweaty feet. They are sock compatible. Will last a long, long time. Mine older ones that I finally threw out got a hole in the toe. Still in great shape but 20+ years I deserve a new pair.

With this pair, I’m on my third pair of Haflingers. They’re super comfy, they offer good support, they keep your feet warm in winter, yet they’re not too hot in summer. As long as you wear them indoors, they’ll last for many years.

I have been suffering from some kind of foot pain--plantar fasciitis maybe (never saw the doctor). Every morning when I stepped out of bed and onto the floor I would be momentarily paralyzed with pain, which would then recede and only bother me a little bit for the rest of the day. It also hurt badly when I stood up after sitting for a long time. I wanted a therapeutic slipper that I liked looking at. I am a solid size 9 and tried out sizes 39, 40, and 41. The 41 and 40 both flopped around when I walked. In the 39 there was hardly any room in the front or the back of my foot. It was snug. Sometimes I could feel my toe touch the end. I was worried that maybe the arch was in the wrong place. But I decided to go with the 39 anyway after reading reviews that said they stretched. I think I spent maybe a week worrying that I'd gotten the wrong pair, but now they fit perfectly with socks and are slightly loose (but still okay) with bare feet, the arch has molded to my foot, and I love them so much. I bought these less than two months ago, and this morning I got out of bed, stepped onto the hard floor, and felt...nothing. My feet feel normal again. I give full credit to these shoes. Plus they're cute and make me feel like a Scandinavian princess. (My husband shudders at the thought of a woman in open back clogs--why?--but even he says they are "kind of cute.") They are warm but not hot. They're not cushy, but they feel smooth, warm, and soft, like butter. I will probably buy these again and again until I die.

I wear haflingers a lot - they are my go-to around-the-house shoes. They are extremely comfortable and cozy. This time I got the “apricot” thinking it would be a bright reddish-orange as in the product photo. In fact it is a brownish orange, which I would not have purchased. Never mind - still great shoes. I uploaded a photo to show the color. The product photo for this color is not accurate.

These shoes are absolutely fantastic. They mold upon your feet and become super comfortable. They are also easy to clean. I highly recommend them.

habe bereits 4 paar halfinger hausschuhe gekauft ( 2 für frau und 2 für mann ) bis auf ein paar von meinem mann (nach 1 jahr loecher im zehenbereich wieso ? ) bin ich eigentlich zufrieden von der qualität und auch verarbeitung, habe trotzdem meinem mann 1 geburtstagsgeschenk 20.9. gemacht und hoffe die schuhe halten ihr versprechen ??????????????????? also schaun mer mal was firma halfinger verspricht.schöne grüsse aus mainz monika dieter

Ein Hausschuh der die Füße warm hält und auch robust ist. Ich empfinde den Hausschuh angenehm an den Füßen.

Best slippers ever. I guess they could last a little longer, but they are super comfy and warm. This is my 3rd pair. I wear them every day. They wear out after 5 or 6 years. Expensive, but I have no doubt I'll buy another pair when these wear out.

Very good quality and a great fit. Think these will last a long time
