Alright so my review is based on what I am currently experiencing with the Rhinoshield that I ordered in plain black. I couldn't find a review like this so for the sake of helping someone else I'll put down what I like and what I don't like.What I like:The case feels really good with two hands. It adds a slight bulk but doesn't make holding this phone uncomfortable. The phone feels super snug and it feels well covered. There is a front lip that protects the phone when you lay it flat down but with any case you need a screen protector. No matter what case you buy, if the screen isn't protected, you front screen will shatter. The bulk is a very small amount that you can't notice with two hands BUT you can with one hand which brings me to my next point. The grip of the case.I'm a guy. I do labor work. My hands are tough and I have a solid grip. With that said,What I don't like:the back of the case does have grip. It's not a silky matte back as I have experienced with other cases where you can run your finger straight across. You feel slight resistance as you move your fingers across the back of the phone. My fingers do not easily glide across the rear of the case. It's not baby smooth. Which allows the case to sit still when holding it with one hand. Again, could be me with my rough hands. But I feel resistance and it won't slip when handled from behind.Now where the case does feel slippery even for me which I have really hot hands ( I sweat easily) is the sides of the phone. Yes the sides of the phone are slippery. If you were two pinch the phone from its side with your thumb and index, the phone will slip out with enough pressure 100%. It feels like a soapy surface. But again, the back of the case allows this balance between the sides.I wouldn't recommend this if you have small hands or operate your phone with one hand majority of the time. The sides are too slick and will be the doom of your phone. If you got some working hands and a tough grip you will be fine.As for the drop, my phone has no damages and I've dropped it twice today not due to the slick sides but my own stupidity.My other concern which I solved was the fact that the rear hole for the camera lenses does not seal completely around the lense, leaving a small gap all around the lense so potentially dust or particles could scratch the rear glass. But I took care of this but putting on a rear film, not tempered glass, a rear film for the phone which protects the glass once exposed.Overall I like this case, it's not perfect but it met my needs.As for removing this case, I think some of the reviewers here did not follow directs or again, have delicate & gentle hands. I had no problem removing the case and putting it back on. Follow instructions and you won't have to destroy this case to pry it off. If you can't remove the case at all then this wasn't the case for you to begin with.

I have always been a fan of rhinoshield cases for their impact protection. One thing I have not been a fan of was how slippery they were. I wanted to get a nice case for my XS Max because it was so expensive, but hate paying the 15$ a month on Apple Care. I tried the Mod NX first and it was way too slippery and the clear backplate would click randomly because it would not stay completely in place in the grooves of the bumper. Decided to switch to the solidsuit microfiber. I feel like even though this is by no means a grippy case, the amount of grip is quite perfect. The microfiber gives you a nice place for your hands and the sides have a very slight texture to them. The buttons are super clicky as well which I love. The only downside of this case is that it only comes in grey for the microfiber. Wished it came in other colors. This is not enough to mark it down a star. There is a reason why Rhinoshield is the number one choice for many when it comes to protecting your expensive devices.

This is a great simple case. Fits GREAT. No loose top or bottom with this case.Has good grip on sides and lay on table design. Works with glass screen shields, I can only speak for the one I use which is the Tech Armor. Back is not slippery. Case is very snug which is hard to find in a case.It is pocket friendly and does not add much bulk but also adds enough protection. The box says 11 feet drop protection.It comes in three different finishes. I went with the regular matte black which is really nice. Wireless charging works fine. Lightning cable fits fine. I don’t have anything negative to say.I returned the other case I had bought recently knowing this case will be staying on my iPhone XS Max! I may go ahead and get the leather and carbon fiber finish also.Pick one up, you won’t regret it.

UPDATE: I installed the RhinoShield tempered glass screen protector and goes perfect with the SolidSuit its border to border with the cover. The phone feels heavy and REALLY strong.It is slim but at the same time it gives all the protection you need. Really snug fit and borders won't move. It is not as hard to put or remove as some say here. It's a bang for the money because an expensive investment like this phone really needs some good protection. I chose the basic black one and to my surprise the borders have more of a plastic feel to them (like a solid bumper case) but the back part is like rubber with a really great feel to it and it makes it not slippery. Really happy with this cover I'm sure it will be my only one.

I was looking for a more protective case for my iPhone XS Max for traveling. This case feels like it will protect my phone more than the Apple Leather I usually use. The fit is snug and the overall profile is slim for a protective case. Overall it looks good. The buttons feel good and the ports align mostly. The speaker ports at bottom are symmetrical, but do not mirror the Max speaker holes. The case creates a lip around the screen.The biggest negative for me is the lack of grip. It feels a little more slippery than other cases I have and I’m more worried of dropping the phone than before.In sum, overall a good case that suffers from being a little more slippery than I’d prefer. This is for the Carbon Fiber model.

I purchased this case based on a video review I saw on YouTube and I must say the guy in the video was spot on. The case feels sold in hamd And makes a satisfying snap what you put it on your device. I was worried that the sides would become loose and baggy as it is a rubber case but after over a month of use the case feels just as rigid as they did from day one. Having hand a number of different cases from different manufacturers over the years I would have to say that this is one of the best. I haven’t heard of RhinoSheld before and knew nothing about them before reasearching a case to get for my new phone, but this case has blown me away with just how nice & sturdy it feels on my phone. If you’re on the fence about buying this, don’t be, get it. It should work with most screen protectors too, i’m Using the Spigen glass one and the case fits fine.

Had over a month now still looks good as new, good texture not to slippery in the hand, and not too bulky. Feels like a quality product.It’s an excellent fit but not too confident in taking it off again tho... not something that your gonna do often tho so not gonna mark that down, there is instructions on the box for removal tho so They’re obviously aware it’s a tight fit.Excellent product so I’d recommend
