Great guitar with portable small amp
The guitar look great. It sounds nice and accompanies items are perfect for beginner. This is my 2nd guitar. The AMP is small, portable by charged but it is enough for my room, it also supports bluetooth to play some background while playing that is cool. Guitar is low profile and it is easy to play. One small minus point is the tuner does not have battery in the product package, it needs one rs2032. Fortunately, I have it so that I can use the tuner to adjust sound right at getting the guitar to get some fun right away. Maybe, I need purchase a guitar stand. Anyway, the product is great and very happy.

Great value
I don't know jack about guitars, but this looks and sounds like one! The amp is tiny, looks like something Barbie would plug her guitar into. 🤷 Sounds good though!

Solid Guitar for the Price!
I had an itch to pick up electric guitar after about 20 years and decided to try out a Donner after considering the cost and some other, honest, reviews. I have been playing this guitar almost every day for about a month and don't have any complaints. Out of the box it was set up pretty good and only needed to adjust a few strings for intonation. The frets were dressed very nicely and comfortable to play. The action was also very comfortable considering I had been out of practice for some time. Some folks would like a lower action, but this seems consistent with most manufacturers standards of new guitars. It actually has the same measurements as Gibson uses for their new guitars to go to market. The strings are cheap, but not bad. I haven't bothered to swap them out yet. The humbucker is okay, I like the sound with some fuzz or crunch. The neck is much warmer and great for lead. I have been playing through a 20+ year old Marshall 10w practice amp and headphones. The little amp is also a fun bonus. It keeps a charge for a good while, but it's not very loud. Good for running some headphones into if you want a decent clean and little bit of gain. My favorite feature is the Bluetooth function. I can connect to my phone and play along with tracks from Spotify (search for drum and bass for guitar practice). Strap, cable, picks, etc are all very basic and that's not a bad thing. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you want to get started playing or looking for a cheap HSS Strat copy that won't break the bank. I would also imagine this would be an awesome gift for young people to get into playing music. I actually liked this guitar so much in ordered another Donner and will review after a little time.

Great for a beginner!
Before I start this is something I needed help with. When I got the amp they give you remember it’s small but loud but also the start button I was slow or something but remember to hold it down and make sure to plug it in the guitar before the sound comes out. The guitar itself is nice in build condition it’s nice and all, i started to learn fast but remember it takes time to get good. This was funny I remember I broke one of my wires due to me doing something stupid but because of the spares I was able to fix it. The tuning of the guitar is also easy for beginners. But the tuner they give remember to put in the right way I did and I broke the tuner they gave me I had to buy a new one. So tips for the guitar it’s a little heavy but use the strap a lot it’s works out for everyone. I would love to show how good I got with it but I’m in a trip in Florida right now for winder brake so I can’t sorry!

My daughter is self taught, she absolutely loves this guitar! It's her favorite thing to do with her free time! I'm really poud of her for finding a positive outlet. Her and her friends are in talks about starting a garage band!

As a beginner this guitar has been great for me.
I've had no trouble with this guitar. It has great tone and stays tuned for me. It comes with a small electronic tuner that you clip onto the neck. I did immediately remove the strings it shipped with and installed new Ernie Balls @ only $7.99. While I had the back plate off to change strings I also reconfigured the Fender style "tremelo springs" as this recommended in a YouTube video on new guitar setup that I watched. The springs are shipped in a triangular setup and it's recommended to just have the 3 springs arranged straight through. This was very easy and intuitive to do with some decent needle nose plyers. If I have to criticize something then it would be that the frets have sharp edges, so I know I'm going to have to take care of that. Presumably the maple has dried out some since it was built and it's natural for wood to shrink. I'll have to pay for someone to file the edges or buy some tools and do it myself, which is most likely what I'll do. Update 2 months after purchase: I like this guitar today even more than the day I bought it! I've filed the fret edges down and at the recommendation of my online teacher, installed Ernie Ball 2225 series strings. The sunburst look, in contrast to what others here have said, in my case is nearly perfect. Maybe I was just lucky to get such a good specimen!? Even though I'm just starting out and I've only learned a few chords, it sounds amazing to me on the tiny little amp! The amp is rechargeable and I charged it up when I first received it and it's still running without a recharge. I don't turn it on that often, I mostly practice without the amp but still it's probably been on for a couple of hours.

This is a great kit, I've been playing this guitar for about a month now and have very minor complaints. The fretboard on my particular guitar was a little sharp - nothing a file can't fix though. Other than that, there were 0 blemishes/imperfections on the guitar when it arrived. The Red finish is great, and is holding up just as well. The mini Amp is great for practice, it's small, rechargeable and you can plug your headphones into it if you choose. Sound quality is surprising good for such a small amp. It also has Bluetooth, great for learning to play along to songs, or even just to use as a Bluetooth speaker. Came with everything you need to start playing guitar, tune it and go. Highly recommend this kit if you're considering picking one up.

It came and it is so nice, as a beginner I have to get used to learning and playing but I have to say that there's nothing wrong with it

Donner is doing a great job competing with other beginner guitars. I'm coming from playing a Fender Squier Affinity (beginner series) and this Donner guitar is as good if not better in quality of the wood, and components. That said, the components here are definitely all entry level. If you are serious about playing you probably want to replace the tuning heads (as these lose tune rather easily), the strings, probably the cheap plastic nut, and perhaps pickups (though the ones included are pretty good for the price). The neck on this thing is just amazing for the price, and there's very little buzz (though there is some) coming from the pickups. That is minimized if you use the switch to select positions 2 or 4 where you're blending pickups. This buzzing is present on most entry level guitars and electronics so that's not really a deal breaker. In terms of initial setup, I noticed right away that the bridge rests flat on the body, and it should be floating. There are several youtube videos on how to properly set up a floating tremolo bridge on a strat, so you'll want to follow one of those (just need a tuner (I'd recommend one of higher precision than what comes in the box) a screwdriver and that's it). I made a slight adjustment to the truss rod in the neck, but you're probably fine without it. Then I adjusted the height of the strings with the saddles (little allen key that comes in the box) so the strings don't buzz against the frets when you're fretting on the low frets. After that I had to adjust all the saddles (with a screwdriver) to fix the intonation of the guitar. (you want to ensure that the octave (12th fret) is also in tune after you tune the open string). Again guides for that are available online. After all that was done, I now have a strat with a properly floating bridge, that's in tune, and stays in tune when fretting strings. The downside here, is all of the extra stuff that comes in the box (tuner, extra strings, picks, capo, and the worlds tiniest amp) are kinda garbage... You'll want to get quality strings, better picks, a better constructed capo, and a more precise tuner if you're going to be using this for any length of time. What's included is enough to figure out if you (or a friend/family member) likes the feel of playing a guitar, but you'd be better served with higher quality accessories. The gig bag is.. alright, it's a basic bag and will let you store your guitar in a closet or something without it collecting dust. If you're really going to be transporting this guitar I'd get something with more padding. I wouldn't trust the strap... if you're going to be playing standing up I'd get something of higher quality. After all my bashing of the included accessories though, this guitar, is really a steal for the price you pay. After properly setting it up, it would be a great beginner guitar for the first 2-3 years of learning, until you might consider something 2-3x the price. One other thing I'd strongly recommend you purchase is a proper stand for the guitar, you don't want to have to put it in the bag and take it out every time.
