Works as it says
Best option for the money. It is waterproof and works as it says. I would still advise using bags to keep your things dry and maintain peace of mind. Though I just did 400 miles through rain and snow and no leaks. Also I recommend using a ratchet strap for peace of mind. The straps on it seem strong enough, but because they are only sewed on in small areas, I would not depend on them as the only means of securing to the vehicle. All in all I am very happy with this bag so far.

The jury is still out ...
The Jury is still out on how we feel about this carrier . First , it doesn’t look like what it does in the picture , the material is more like a vinyl material. The belts themselves do not hold the carrier in place by itself so would be smart to purchase additional straps for extra security. We did drive through a rain storm & seemed that our stuff was dry at our destination.

Economical means to get the job done.
We logged about 26 hours of highways with this strapped to my 2018 Santa Fe stopping in 3 cities to unload/reload. I used crossbars because my roof rails are flush and I didn't want to run the straps through the car.The product arrived with 2 long straps and 4 shorter ones that had no stop at the ends, so there was only tension keeping them on the buckles, and NO instructions. There are sewn-in loops at each corner which we strapped to the rails using shorter straps. We crisscrossed the longer straps over the bag securing at the rails. It didn't seem very secure, but we never sensed any movement while on the road except you really have to check the straps are tucked well or they will pond on the roof.We packed a large duffle, 2 large carry on roller boards and 1 smaller roller board along with 2 sizable boxed gifts. It was tight to get the zipper zipped, but there was still room for squishy items. We did get rain on our trip, but I can't confirm the weatherproofing as my darling husband left it partially unzipped after unloading, so there was already water in the bag when we loaded it back up, but I think it would have been dry otherwise. We did get the bag mostly back in the case afterward. It is doable.

It did it's job
It held together for the 300 mile round trip. Do not count in the straps it comes with. Get yourself some ratchet straps. I cut a 1/2 board the dimensions of the bag. This was so i could have a solid bottom and not damage the roof of my santa fe. The good thing was no water came in during the rain storm on my way back. I packed a tent, double graco stroller, pack and play, some beach toys, and 2 beach chairs "im really good a tetris".

Definitely waterproof
Spent hours reading reviews after needing a car top carrier. Just got home for a weeklong trip - easy to install, big and totally waterproof. As a camping family - HIGHLY recommend!

Isn't very waterproof
Bought this for a cross country move. Hit rain for most of the trip. When we arrived at our destination we discovered every single item in the bag was soaking wet and there was standing water in the bag itself. Would not recommend this item. Not worth the money. Glad I only used it for clothes as we were able to salvage most of the items we had put in it.

Check to see if your car rails will be adequate to support the roof top carrier.
I did NOT use this item. My Lexus RX350 has only two side rails. It appears roof top carriers work better and more secure when you have the rear and front cross rails too. The product appeared to be well made. I returned it unused.

Not water proof
I bought this to go on go on a trip to Florida. Thats an 18 hour drive from where i live. Ok, first of all it doesn't come with any direction. One of the straps that secure it to the roof ripped off from the bag where it was sewn. This bag isn't water proof neater. When we came home we drove threw a storm and our clothes go wet. I whould not recommend. Save your money and buy one of the good hard shell ones.
