Fantastic - burnt chocolate stout - pretty close to the draught.
This is a really lovely stout. I discovered it on tap on the Isle of Mull - it's rich and thick like Guinness but with a hint of burnt chocolate. I'm a huge Guinness fan but I prefer Black to be honest. I managed to track down some bottles of Black from Adnams, but they are pretty watery and not anywhere near the taste and texture of draught. However, these cans are superb. So much better than the bottles - they don't have the Guinness widget thing but they certainly pour better, thicken up with a creamy white head, and taste excellent. Will never be as good as the draught but these are really worth a try. Great in steak and ale pie too.

very nice
Fairly pricey now but lovely stuff to drink, better than Guinness I would say.

Good enough Stout
Nice enough beer but not quite the best of class. But good value for the price.

Rip off Amazon
Fantastic Stout. Will never buy it again as Amazon now sell this and have whacked the price up by an amazing 13 pounds so from £33 last year to £46 this year, absolute rip off. Be warned you are now paying way over the odds for this stout.

Bargain price but, they seem to vary from tin to tin?
Bargain price but, they seem to vary from tin to tin? A bit thin in flavour for me, I expected more? Inoffensive and at a bargain price, however Guinness drinkers may find it a little thin and "tart"? Other stout and porter drinkers may find it somewhat bland, perhaps closer to a stronger mild? Personally I think it's OK but it doesn't compare in quality with the same beer on hand pump or their 80/- , which is a classic. In addition to what I wrote before, some tins are actually better than others and are more than acceptable. So perhaps I've been delivered some with faulty tins?
