What is the density of the foam? It makes a big difference.

I don't know the exact density, but it's a 1/2" thick. Don't use it if you're trying to sound proof a room. It doesn't work at all. I tried it in the laundry closet in the hallway. It has louvered folding doors and is very loud when the washer and drier are running. I put them over the louvers inside the doors. It made no difference. I took them down and replaced with 1/4" plywood, which made it much quieter. Later I saw that it was NOT intended to do what I was doing with it.

How do you attach these to the wall?

Can i use this in a air flow vent? the ones above doors, it’s not an actual ac vent.
