I LOVE this lamp! It beautifully adds height to the living room.When the package arrived the exterior packaging was damaged, but it was double boxed (yay). The interior box was slightly damaged too, but only in an area that didn't matter.Assembly was fairly easy, the small parts (washers, nut and screws) are not in a separate bag, they are already attached. That momentarily made me think I was missing something, but I quickly figured out everything was preassembled and I just needed to remove it and then follow the instructions.I needed a flathead screwdriver to attach the second arm piece but that was not a big problem.The bottom granite/marble piece is marvelously sturdy... and heavy. You will want to assemble in an area close to where the lamp will reside. There is a felt protector that goes under the base, to protect your floor, but when I started to push the lamp base on the carpet to its final resting place the felt pad started to roll up under the base. I just fixed it and then carefully lifted the lamp by the base to place it where I wanted it. It is pretty heavy.I love the brushed stainless and the linen shade. Final adjustments of the lamp were pretty simple. Looks great and I am very pleased with this purchase!No pictures as we are waiting on furniture to arrive to our new home.

I highly recommend this overhanging floor lamp. This is an excellent purchase. The lamp is “very” well made. It has lovely clean lines. I am super happy with my purchase.I was taken aback when I unwrapped it. The heavy marble base is “stunning” I love it. I was not expecting such high quality. Originally, I had planned to hide the base of the lamp thinking it may need to be hidden. But believe me, you will want to show this base off. You will be happy to know, you will not need to futz with additional bracing or weighting down for the lamp, because of its base. I can’t imagine this lamp ever tipping over. Its shade is smartly constructed making is easy to put together.It was packaged with great care and arrived in perfect condition. Pay attention to which side of the box is heaviest because it will make carrying easier, if you carry it by yourself keep the heaviest side down. I recommend having a dolly or a friend ready to help out a bit, but I managed it alone.You will not be disappointed once it is in position. I recommend pairing it with a dimmer. If you purchase a dimmer make sure you purchase the recommended bulb, otherwise it won't dim correctly!Note: The Amazon picture although a good picture, really does not do this lamp justice. It is far nicer in reality!

Easy to put together. Beautiful elegant lines when completed. Marble base very heavy and stable.

I was looking for a very long arch lamp for my dining table.I visited multiple furniture stores but they were all either not long enough or priced over $1k.I gave this lamp a try after looking at the photos that other reviewers posted, which made it look huge.The lamp is indeed very big, as the arch extends A LOT; just make sure you unscrew the connector and pull strongly but slowly.The package is super heavy and arrived in perfect conditions: I was surprised that the base, the rods and the shade where all in great shape.When mounted, the lamp looks very expensive because of the marble and it's pretty sturdy for it's size. You can easily replace the shade if you want to, as it has a standard-sized ring at the base.Mounting it was quite a challenge for two reasons:1- The base is super heavy and it needs to be tilted when connecting the rod to it and there is not a lot of space to manouver the wrench.2- The screw that is used to connect the straight rod with the arch is supposed to be unscrewed and then screwed backed in after you have connected the two pieces. Because of a defect, the screw I got was like welded to the base and, after trying with a screwdriver and a drill, I had to destroy it using a Dremel. Then I bought a new one at the hardware store.Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase, but I am rating this lamp 4 stars because mounting it was a real nightmare.

Super nice quality. A little challenging to put together but not too bad. Wish the instructions were slightly better. Seriously awesome value. A lamp just like this is way more than double at our local furniture store. I do wish the shade hadn't been one you had to put together but honestly, it looks really nice and you wouldn't know. It was missing a bolt to keep the shade on. We picked one up at the hardware store cheap.
