A great big brand name. Great whisky and at a great price. Will look great on any bar or display. Very smooth to drink and can be mixed.

As with anything taste based, each to their own! However, I bought this as a birthday present for my dad - it was very well received and thoroughly enjoyable. The taste is sweet with definite vanilla notes. The most noteworthy thing though about this whisky is how incredibly smooth it is - it is so so drinkable. This is no doubt the main reason why people love it. HOWEVER, I will mention the flip side. Although I loved drinking this, I have to note that sometimes you're looking for something more interesting where you sip it slowly and savour every sip and drag out the drink. I would say that this is not one of those drinks. There are other whiskies at lower price points that give you more interest, complex and punchy tasting. So value for money: it depends what you want! If you want to pay for something interesting to taste and explore, go with something else. If you want something impressively smooth and drinkable, then this is worth it!

Very good smooth

Typical swanky, and stylish Maccallan whisky that I enjoyed immensely. Getting challenged now by some really good, (and cheaper), upstarts, but I've got no doubt Maccallan will retain a loyal following. If you can afford it, this bottle will not disappoint.

I purchased this for my husbands 50th Birthday, he loves a single malt but would never pay for one this price for himself so this was a treat, it’s a beautiful smooth whiskey that he really enjoys from time to time. I was a bit nervous about it arriving in one piece but I needn’t have worried it was very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. A must for any whiskey collection.

A very smooth whisky - drinkable without the first throat burning challenge, but without too much complexity. Distilled and matured to take edges off but not to create too much interest in my view. Amazon delivery very poor. 3 days lates when clear instructions were left as to where to deliver it and get a signature. As it was a gift I had to go and buy a bottle in the local store to ensure I could give the present. I ended up with a bottle!

Now one of my favourites,smooth and complex, certainly worth the money, subtle afternoons and a nice warm fuzziness.
