The book is amazing and I feel anyone who works with people across the globe should read it. I learned a lot from the book and it was very eye opening. The book was full of interesting anecdotes from the first chapter to the last. I definitely agreed with everything she mentioned about the Indian culture, and we had a book club at work on this where we had people from US, Central America, and China join us. They also agreed that the author's explanation of their culture was on point. It led to lots of lively discussions. I would highly recommend.

Exploring the differences across the world cultures through the lens of the culture scale, a set of 8 factors that are focal to business behaviors, and creating a connection through the culture map, Erin has brought out the concept of the book, in a simple and easy to understand/apply manner.Devoting a chapter each to the 8 factors of the culture scale and accompanying the theory with highly relatable stories that anyone who has experienced a different culture will nod their head to, the author has approached the storytelling aspect of the book at a comfortable pace and in a easy-to-learn way.Overall, Erin Meyer's "The Culture Map" is useful and highly recommended reading for anyone who is dealing with multi-cultural exchanges (which is most of the employed population across the world today). As the world of business grows smaller with virtual and physical presence of multi-cultural employees, this book is a gift to the person who can start equipped on how to lead, collaborate, and support, teams and team mates in a culturally mindful and fun approach!
