truly water proof
works great on tent fabric and gortex. Easy application, though still get drips to wipe immediately or it shows.

The silent guardian of fresh air
Unexpectedly effective. These absorbers quietly eliminate moisture and musty odors, leaving a subtle lavender scent behind. Excellent for closets, storage rooms, or spaces where airflow is scarce. A simple product that performs its duty with admirable consistency.

A must-have product for rekindling your rain gear!!!
This product is the REAL deal. I work outside in all sorts of rainy, wet weather. My raincoats and shoes had lost their rainproof abilities so I bought this. Washed coats thoroughly in washer, left damp as instructed, sprayed the diluted solution on really well and hung to dry. Scrubbed rain/hiking boots well with soapy solution and rinsed. Applied dilution soaking them well. Let air dry. All items are perfect!!!! So very happy. I did not know that the water repellent qualities deteriorate over time. Now they are like new and have kept me dry and happy. Can’t recommend this enough. Just remember if it wasn’t waterproofed to begin with, you won’t make it waterproof just by using this product (so you cannot waterproof a sweater, for example). I love this stuff. Economical too. Big bottle!

Just try it- you'll be amazed!
I've never left a video review but I was so impressed by how easy & effective it was to restore my gloves waterproofing to brand new I had to show you. I have had these gloves for close to 8 years and they would get soaked on a wet snow day but they were in otherwise great condition. After a quick wash in the machine with tech wash and adding this spray the water rolls right off the. Highly recommended! I used half a bottle on 2 pairs of gloves, a small pair of pants and 1 large jacket.

As noted in by others... makes a small improvement, nothing like garment's ORIGINAL water-resistance
I had read the reviews so I came in pretty skeptical but wanted to try because I love the jacket so much Followed instructions excruciatingly closely: washed, application, drying. Used the entire 10 oz bottle on that one jacket, 2 separate applications after I wasn't pleased with the results of the first It definitely *improved* the water resistance, but while water beads initially, within less than a minute it starts soaking in to the material. Even being in the lightest of mists for 15 minutes resulted in a heavy water-laden jacket. And this was a jacket that could take hours in heavy rain with no absorption at all when new. From reading the reviews of competitive products, they all seem to suffer from this same problem. Is there a way to actually restore a jacket to like new condition??

Amazing Stuff
This past winter I made the mistake of washing my wife's Oakley ski pants with regular detergent. After that, they absorbed water like nobody's business. Luckily, that was the last time she needed them. I bought some Tech Wash and Nikwax so we could try to recover her ski pants and also clean our other winter gear this spring. I finally did just that and after drying them in the dryer, tested every garment to ensure waterproofing by placing each one in the shower spraying cold water for 60 seconds. Not only did the Nikwax prove itself during my tests, but the articles of clothing felt lighter than they did before I washed them. It doesn't stop there. My winter jacket has a removable liner that turns the shell into a pretty nice lightweight jacket for cooler weather. Well, as it is with a lot of the US this year, we've had quite a few heavy rainstorms over the past few weeks (it seems we're always in a flash flood warning) and I took my jacket out a few times. I'm thoroughly impressed. Not only did the water bead and roll right off my jacket, but my torso stayed completely dry and warm despite heavy rain pounding on the seemingly lightweight fabric for several minutes. And the water droplets that beaded on my jacket were easily shaken off so my jacket could be put back in the closet without getting everything else wet. I applied the Nikwax indoors without any problem. Nikwax has kind of a mild vinegar odor (my best description), which on it's own isn't bad, but the Nikwax will get on everything and can be a pain to get off floors and walls. I will say, however, that a well-ventilated area is a necessity because of the small, but possible risk of inhaling nano particles. This is from the manufacturer's website: "Nikwax water-based consumer products are white opaque liquids with an average particle size usually between 1 and 2 microns. That is ten times bigger than the largest nanoparticle. However, a small proportion of the emulsion will be in the nano range. As soon as Nikwax is diluted with water, or the water evaporates from it, the emulsion particles aggregate, that is, join together and get bigger.. Therefore there is an extremely low risk with Nikwax products that novel nano particles will be dispersed into water or air through their use. "Nikwax water-based spray products are delivered from a trigger spray and are not gas driven. Therefore the particle size that is dispersed into the air is relatively very large compared to a gas propellant driven aerosol, and is not nanoparticle size. Nikwax trigger driven sprays therefore present low risk in terms of inhalation and the possibility of materials entering through the airways and into the lungs. Care should, however always we taken to avoid inhalation of any spray material, including Nikwax." I'm excited about next winter, trying out all of our refreshed gear on the ski slopes, playing with the dog in the snow, shoveling, etc. I have a feeling next winter is going to be awesome thanks largely to refreshing our snow gear to beat the elements with Tech Wash and Nikwax. Amazing stuff.

Good quality product always follow instructions
I’m told this is a great product unfortunately it would not work for me, my shower pass cycling raincoat is just too old and gone through too many laundry cycle, would not accept repellent, which I am very sad, however, everything that I’ve read on the Internet. I went through the procedure multiple times the cleaning and treatment, unfortunately would not work.. so I bought a new jacket off Amazon for a fraction of the price of the shower pass. Hopefully it will do the job for me.. lesson learned! Do not over launder your raincoat.

The Nikwax TX. Direct Spray-On Waterproofing is excellent for revitalizing the properties of your gore tex clothing. Very easy to apply after washing the garments with Nikwax Tech Wash. Nikwax also has an all in one product that both washes and re-waterproofs gore tex garments. However, I've always been an advocate for products that do one thing VERY WELL instead of a combination of things OKAY. That's why I prefer to use a combination of the Nikwax Tech Wash and the spray on waterproofing separately. Furthermore, using the separate spray on waterproofing allows direct application of the product to specific areas of the garment that tend to get wet or exposed to damp/wet more often.
