WOW! This is a steal.. shielded network wire for an amazing price, this is perfect for what I need to run wire under ground and gives me more options now that I can do that .

I used this cable for running very long network drops (approx 250ft) through some very tight spaces. The cable showed no damage when put under significant stress during pulling, and all of my PoE access points are running at full gigabit speeds! PVC Jacket -> Foil Shielding -> Ground Wire -> Cellophane Wrapper -> Twisted Pairs. I also used a 100ft section for a CCTV install using video baluns in an industrial environment with a lot of interference. The video signal was crystal clear because of the foil shielding vs a lot of lines and rolling with non-shielded Cat5. Ordering 2 more boxes right now!EDIT: Unfortunately the business I completed this install for moved out of town, so I'm unsure of the longevity. However I must agree with the commenter below. As I've gained experience, I can agree that it's a very, very bad idea to run PoE on CCA cable for many reasons. I'm not going to remove any stars from this product because I never had any issues, but please head the advice of the commenter.

This is a good quality shielded cable and has been perfect for my networking need. I am running this cable about 150 feet between connection points and I have not noticed any slowdowns in my network at all. My network is also in the middle of a high RF/EMI environment and so far I have not had any issues with electrical interference. Also the shipping was much faster than I expected.

This cable does not hold up if exposed to sunlight -- even a little bit. That said, it's a reasonable quality shielded CAT5e cable that exceeds my expectations for the price.New policies around some of the systems we set up require us to use shielded ethernet cable in new installs, but clients don't like paying for the best brands -- this is a good medium-quality cable that meets all of our basic requirements. So far we haven't had any performance issues or other major problems. We've noticed that 24 volt PoE is a little sketchy over 150ft.Out of the dozen or so boxes I've personally purchased in the last few years, we once received a single box with no drain wire in the cable (everything else about the cable was fine and we still used it).

Works fine for wiring a office. Great wire to work with. Easy to install cat5 ends. Great value for do it yourself.

What I saved in price, I more than lost in productivity. After more than twenty-years of experience, I have never had such a high failure rate. Even when the cable appears to be terminated correctly, the cable still fails. I have tried different jacks with no improvement. You're welcome to try this for yourself, but beware.

Great item, Great buy. Needed shielded CAT5e because I needed to do a job where my wiring was running along side electrical wire. Not only did it keep signal synced but loss was minimal to none. Also used it to run 4 CCTV 100' distance/ea and no video loss. Great cable, great price, will be buying some more soon.

It's good cable. Only issue is that it's a bit thin, and the rubber "booties" for the ends of the wires slide around on the cable (but, they seem to grab a bit on the connectors, so it's not too bad.
