Best one so far. - I have read lots of books on team building. Patrick Lencioni’s book is the best one that I have read on the subject. Anyone who manages a team and is struggling with issues like trust, conflict and accountability should read it right away. People issues are messy. Difficult to articulate and explain. But the diagnosis of what dysfunctions damage a team and how they are connected to each other is done with elegant precision in this book. You just accept it without any ifs and buts. There are essentially 5 of them. Trust. Conflict. Commitment. Accountability. Attention to results. The writer also provides an assessment test to measure how dysfunctional any team is. He gives detailed notes on the symptoms and the steps one can take to address each one of the 5 dysfunctions. This entire framework is nicely woven into a fable which makes it easy for you to understand and internalise their concepts. If you don’t have time for the book, then just check out the YouTube video. You will be hooked. Review: Good Book to learn the power of team work, team building with intigrity and trust - very well scripted, explained with a rel kind of story of a corporate and its management team

This is a great read. Applicable to all teams
This is a great read. Applicable to all teams. The team effectiveness exercise at the end is a must and should be done keeping in mind the 5 dysfunctions. Not doing the exercise or not utilising all the dysfunctions when doing the exercise will make the exercise ineffective.

Great read - deep insights woven into a gripping yet realistic tale
Great read - hits home on typical challenges in building a great team and provides actionable ideas on how it can be done. The whole thing is neatly wrapped around a fable that is gripping to say the least and certainly makes it unputdownable. Print is good from Times press with clear, big lettering so if even you read the whole thing in 1 sitting like I did, eyes won't get strained too much. Amazon, as usual, does a great job of delivering it promptly in fantastic condition.

Describes how you can make your team rowing into the same direction!
I want to begin my review with a quote from the book: “If you could get all the people in an organization rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry, in any market, against any competition, at any time.” This is exactly what the book is all about. Patrick Lencioni has written his book in the fable style and it provides useful insides how successful teams actually function or why they actually don't. One can read this book in one sit and it is really helpful for everyone who manages people. I do highly recommend this book.

Good Read - Understanding where teams could go wrong!!!
I completed reading this in one day. This will help us understand the fall out of a team that is not team at heart. Identifying them is what the book will help us with. Its written in a fable style which is interesting throughout.

I have most of his books as part of my collection of which this is the best of all
I am a big fan of Lencioni's work. I have most of his books as part of my collection of which this is the best of all. While this book can be read in a single sitting (most of his work could be) it may demand more time and effort than that for anyone to truly benefit by gaining actionable insights. Like every time you lead a different team / observe one, you may get a new insight when reading this book. Great buying experience from amazon as usual.

I bought this book for myself because I have been a long time manager of small teams and have, at times, struggled with getting some team members on board. When I purchased the book I was taking over the leadership of a very dysfunctional team and was at my wits end with some of the team members. There was a lack of trust among team members and it was holding the team back. I could not have identified and overcome the problems we had without the knowledge and practices I learned in this book. Although it took time (a year!) and a lot of energy, we succeeded in making the team highly efficient, even when working on very challenging projects. Highly recommend that managers who care about having a cohesive, enjoyable and productive team read this book
