Q: Does this work with nexus 7 (2012) model

NFC tags are not device specific. If your phone have NFC in it, it will work. You can use Trigger app to write codes into it.

Yes you can use these to tag text.

Q: Does it works with Windows Lumia Phones? I have lumia 730 which supports NFC

even though I haven't tried it on a Windows phone personally - it should ideally work with Windows phones too. It's a generic NFC tag which can be configured with the right application on the phone's platform as you wish to use NFC for automation and other needs.

Q: Can these tags stick to any surface like glass,stainless steel,wood?What is the rang,can it trigger shortcuts for about 25mm-30mm distance

The adhesive is very strong. It sticks on literally everything. However, the tag won't work on metallic surface. So DONT stick on steel. For metallic surface you may find Anti Metal tags from LINQS store. Smartrac Circus has the highest Scan Strength (Range) for tags of similar size. We have read it upto 6 cm with ease.
