SHIMANO HG-50-8-Speed Cassette

I added this cassette to my full rigid MTB. Install was easy and it's a quality product. I use to ride single speed but found that my area has vastly different terrains that I ride and I don't like having to swap my rear gear all the time so I chose to use this 12-25 road bike cassette instead and it still forces me to get out of the saddle to climb but now I don't have to swap my gears all the time any more to ride different trails. I simply pick the gear and crank it out without shifting or wrenching.

Unfortunately my Wahoo trainer was not compatible with the original casset.This one was a simple install and works fine.To do the install you will need a chain wrench and a casset wrench.It only takes 5 minutes, but having the correct tools is essential.After the install, you may need to adjust the tension on the rear derailer... this a simple task done with a standard screw driver.I have almost a thousand miles on it without an issues.

Works AWESOME for converting an 11 speed hub into an 8 speed (with spacer), for use use with an old style retro racing bike

It works fine after using it for over a month

Replaced a stock Shimano cassette (that had holes at the base of the teeth - to save weight?) that had blown out a few teeth on one speed. Although I cannot boast about my derailleur adjustment skills this cassette is working great and I can't tell the weight difference.

Great price, worked perfectly. Notice difference right away. Much better shifting and eliminated my chain jumping. Would buy again, If I needed to replace it.
