SQUAT 7.28 gallon pot (incorrect photo featured)
The incorrect photo for this SQUAT 7.28 gallon pot can be a misleading problem. Did a ridiculous amount of research because I needed a large SQUAT (not tall) heavy duty plastic planter pot to maximize room for my transplanted ficus to grow within a larger squat decorative indoor pot. The tall photo currently featured for 7.28 gallon is a representation of the "not-squat" 7 gallon planter. The dimensions stated are correct: approx. 15" (outer) diameter at top, 12" hgt for the 7.28 gallon. The volume is, by industry standards, not a liquid volume, but a cubic volume for soil (similar to your Pyrex liquid measure not being the same as measuring cups for solid ingredients per industry standards). Fantastic quality with four adequate drainage slots spaced apart evenly along the bottom perimeter (roughly half the total bottom perimeter circumference in total). Thankfully, I paid less than the current $22 price, which fyi seems high (if you have a reasonable alternative), as you might guess by the $10 price of the sister "tall" 7 gallon (which I also purchased) shown. Difficult dimensions to find at my local garden supply stores. Weight is as expected, relatively light and arrives in a big brown shipping carton. (Might be subjective, but I feel as though this HC 7.28 gallon is a more substantial pot than the HC 7-gallon. I seriously don't recommend risking repotting on your carpet without carpet protection, even you haven't watered for a long while! What an unexpected disaster to get extensive potting soil stains out, this time around.)

Sturdy and well made
What can you say about a pot? It's sturdy, light weight, and holds up to sue and re-use.

these are amazing for the less than $4 i paid, for each "3gal" (actual 2.62gal).
thicker than expected for under $4 a 3gal pot. SIGNIFICANTLY thicker. the plastic seems good and should last me years to come. i like the fact they even clarify the actual measure of the pots, for those that dont understand the difference between dry, wet and garden gal sizes. a gal is a measurement of weight. idk how so many people dont know that simple fact.... 1gal of feathers is gonna look alot bigger than 1gal of water. just saying..... lol... but yeah. these are good pots for the money, at time i purchased. they are such high quality that i fully believe they will outlast me.

Sturdy
Pretty heavy duty. Has held up to numerous grows so far. Open bottom kind of.

It was a great pot, had to return because it was too big.
The pot itself is great quality, just too large for what I needed.

Good enough for transplants
I got this to put a divided peace lily in. Just the right size. But it was just an OK pot, so I put it inside a decorative pot. Because the tolerance between the inside and outside pot was so small, I drilled 2 holes, one in each side, so I could attach cording so can lift the inside pot out of the outside pot for watering.

These are awesome injection molded pots!
These are injection molded made in the USA which is much better quality than the typical blow molded , especially made in China, found on here. I usually get similar pots from a greenhouse store and their price is higher and you have to spend $99 to receive shipping included. These pots are a better design too, with better drainage holes and ribs at the bottom that should deter some roots from circling. Hopefully they will keep these available here so I can buy some more next year.

It is MUCH smaller than in the description
The description says that this pot is 8.88 x 8.25 x 8.88 inches, but in reality it is only 7 inches tall and 6.5 inches in diameter. I am incredibly disappointed, since I have no use for this smaller pot and I have just spent money on something I cannot use.
