Excellent replacement for Hayward Colorlogic LED light
Our Hayward $800 light went out again (gone through 2 haywards in 3 years)! I bought this based on reviews and gave it a try. This is an EXCELLENT replacement light - I spliced the wires into the existing Hayward 100 ft cord and it works perfectly! Super easy to install - I used waterproof heat shrink connectors and waterproof heat shrink sleeves to ensure the splice was completely sealed and water proof. Beautiful color and nice and bright at a great price.

Used this to convert a Pentair Sunlite
I have a smaller Sunlite pool light that kept failing (it's about 3.5" in diameter and takes a small two-prong bulb). Upon opening it up, I discovered the water had completely corroded the bulb socket. Since this LED light is waterproof, I decided to convert my light over - I removed the four prongs inside the housing and the two on this light (to make room for this light), used waterproof connectors to connect the low voltage leads, filled the wired area at the base of the housing with silicone, inserted this light, added more silicone around it and foam to keep it centered, and reassembled the unit. With these adjustments, this light fits perfectly. The brightness is more than adequate and it works great. If it works months and years from now, then it's a home run ... but for now, so far so good.

Works. And saves me a ton of money.
Ok. Look. Here is the deal. I am replacing the pentair lights that are complete junk and expensive junk. They are not a perfect replacement but for the price it does what I need. The feed wires are pretty light bit seem to enough. They “fit” in the light case but be careful not to push them I too far. They do not screw in they just kinda snap in using the tabs. They work great. So far Jo problems. I am using my existing pentair controller. Just tied into the existing wires from the old pentair light. I did the best I could to make sure my connections will stay dry but we will see how the connections hold up. The hardest part was I needed to extend the existing wires to give me enough room to work on it. If I were to do it again I would just replace the whole wire from the controller to the light fixture. This would save a ton of tom and headache.

Great product-just not what I can use
This is a very well made product. I'd seen a prior review indicating it can serve as a budget-friendly alternative fixture to replace my burned out Pentair Globrite lamps. In my case they wont. The junction box for my lighting wiring is (due to its location) barely above the lamps at the pool wall. So when I remove the Globrites the pool starts emptying through the conduit to the junction box! Given that these replacements will not be a snug watertight fit in the Pentair housing that is a problem for me. I like these lamps and I'm going to try re-purposing them into the landscape. BTW there is just a short pigtail wire on these lamps not the full 25' cable I'd need to get back to the junction box. Something else to consider when tackling your replacement.

Stock tank pool light.
Last year we joined the stock tank pool craze and haven’t looked back. I’ve been improving it steadily, we added a filter system and chlorinated the pool, I added a rubber spray in coating when the tank started to rust and now I’m adding a light. This light seemed a bit pricey but I’m happy with it, it’s built really well. I order a Hero-LED power supply to power this led. Everything went together well with the help of some shrink tubing, soldering iron, some rubber o rings, silicon sealant and a pipe clamp. its southern engineering at it finest, but it works and doesn't leak around the light. The pictures bellow are my new plastic stock tank pool. If making a stock tank pool, go with plastic. Pool chemicals cause the metal tanks to rust and using a spray in coating won’t stop the rust... trust me I tried. This light makes the plastic tanks glow at nigh which is cool.

Saved $450.00 vs Pentair globrite
We had 5 of 6 Pentair Glowbrite lights go out in our pool. The replacment cost of the glowbrites are $500.00 each plus install. They only last 2 years and need to be replaced again. Well I refuse to replace a $500.00 light every 2 years. Having 6 that would be $3000.00 plus labor. The pentair uses a niche that is recessed i to the wall of your pool. Until now there was not much I could do about it because of the niche size. This light fits absolutely perfect infact it is recessed about a half inch after instal. The lights worked with exhisting power source too! I recycled the exhisting ligh cord and waterproofed the connection. If you think this is dangerous consider that all 5 pentair lights had visable water in them and failed. Only drawback is you must choose the color led light. Unlike the pentair glowbrite you cannot change the light color. I prefer the blue anyway.

Excellent quality, well built.
I wish it were a bit cheaper, as it would encourage me to buy more than one. Otherwise, it has been working flawlessly. One of these has been underwater for over two months with no issues and a strong light.

Failed at 2 months
Installed at end of December and its not working already. Of course passed the return window. What a waste of $41.!

I was fed up from replacing my colorlogic lights at $500 each every year. I took a chance on these lights given their price points knowing I’m getting slightly dimmer light and no color change - just blue. Installation is straightforward. I cut the wire and used waterproof connection. I used the cabling that came with colorlogic light. Note, these light works on AC 12v or DC 24. My transformer support AC 12V. Hence, no change was required at the panel. I can not comment on product life since I just installed them. But even if they fail every year, it’s still much cheaper than Hayward colorlogic 320 option. Note: top light in photo is Omnilogic. The bottom two ordered from Amazon.

They work well but the back clips seem to rot quite quickly when underwater, I think the backs are aluminum as they get like aluminum rust basically a white dust... when this happens the steel clips break off.

I replaced my Hayward colorlogic for this. Almost the same light output, although it can’t change color. Fits 1.5in tubes easily. As many mentionned, the cord is a little short, had to extend it to connect where I needed. Would definitely buy again!

Well I can’t speak to how long it will last but it replaced my Hayward colourlogic bulb with this one and fit in the existing Hole quite nicely it may not be quite as bright but works good for the price, I’ll replace it 10 times before I buy another Hayward led light for over $600 . I bought the wire extender adapters and used shrink tubing with added adhesive to seal when heated, took me maybe a half hour to do and now I can change them out for a different colour of if one fails in under 5 mins .

I have an 15 year old low voltage garden light transformer, malibu/moonrays lights, 12v. I recently swapped the incandescent bulbs to led wedge bulbs. Garden lights now all strong and bright. In fact I added some to get to about 15 garden lights on a 80w transformer. Got this pond light and connected to my garden light transformer. Works great. Only caveat is, the light has a short cable. I cut it and connected to low voltage wire, but the coupling needs to be out of water... hence, I would have preferred it to be deeper in my pond... the plant roots grow long and can block the light. Photos show no lights, fountain tiny legs, and then this light on. Fish seem to like hunting in the light! ....... Update june 2024. One of the 3 leds died. About 1 year later. Will return.
