Added this to my collection of Tapo related goods and I am happy to say that it works flawlessly! Easy to set up via the Tapo app and the picture quality is astounding for not just what it covers, but for what it captures. It even set up the internet connection without me having to do anything other than tap 'ok' - it was that simple! Easy to pair up with google home (so far) and I need to dip more into that area to see what it does connect to. I get notifications on the device I've set it up to - silent ones, so a message will pop up on the screen to inform me that activity has been detected. I love the battery life too - my previous doorbell camera had to be recharged so often it spent most of it's life off the door. No subscription fees either - pop a micro SD card in it and it will capture activity on it, or you can watch on your device and you can record straight to your device (not good if you only have limited space available). Either way, I do wish I'd bought this FIRST.

I'm blown away by the quality of this doorbell! The video quality is superb! So much better than my Ring Pro Wired that this replaced. The plug in chime is really good as it's physically small. It's very loud though and you can change the volume and ringtones to your liking. The fact you don't need to pay for a subscription is the big selling point. The field of view is large - it records my entire cul-de-sac. The notification time from being pressed to the chime ringing and your phone notification is almost instant and I love the fact it brings up a phone call on your phone to answer. The 24/7 recording is exactly what I wanted too. Top all of this off with the fact it is an absolute bargain price and I can't think of a reason not to buy it.

Love tapo products, not only due to being able to use a microsd but for their seamless easy to use app. This is a great doorbell - not good for long distance. However the battery lasts a while and changing doesnt take long at all! 4 hours maybe. There's also a lot of security when it comes to pulling it off - you need a screwdriver to unlock it. Love it!

I actually bought this to put in the garden so I knew when my ducks came home to go and shut them in their pen as it was cheaper than the wildlife cameras. It’s a fantastic piece of kit. It picks up movement straight away and the video quality is amazingly clear. The night vision video quality is the same. The app works very well and the playback is great. Nothing bad to say about this item. Sturdy, well made, so easy to set up the bell and app. Price is great. Battery life used up quite quickly as there’s a lot of activity in the garden so it was sending info all the time. If used as a normal door bell it would last a lot longer.

Love this doorbell, it was my second attempt at buying one, returned the first. It works really well even with my poor quality wifi. I attached it to Alexa and found the app brilliant and easy to follow for set up. It's perfect for me as I'm disabled and it takes me a while to get to the door. I use the call feature where it calls my mobile, which I find very easy to use and allows me to speak to the caller, very clear sound and great picture quality, can also leave a message that operates when you're not there to tell couriers where to leave your parcels, love it! Battery life shows on the app so you know when to remove for charging!

Top class door camera. I’ve had a few door camera but this Tapo is the best ever. Record onto sd card,picture quality is great,full 180 degree lens . Cloud is very good price if you want it but not necessary. Lights up on approach, Sound quality is good Yep I’m impressed can reccomend no problem

Excellent doorbell. I love this video doorbell. I previously had one of the more expensive subscription based ones and changed to this as all the video files can be saved locally to a micro sd card which, for security is on the doorbell chime inside the house.the video and sound quality is great, even at night. The sensitivity can be adjusted and detection zone set. I chose the mains power doorbell so I can't comment on the battery life of the rechargeable versions. The doorbell was easy to set up and I would say once installed, setup only takes a few minutes.

I have tried other well known brands but so far hands down this one has to be the best. Set up was simple and installation took all of 15 minutes. The bell is a lot smaller than the other brands yet has a lot more features, so far connecting with the bell is pretty much instantaneous and the view is very clear. Night views are in colour and movement detection is very quick, I know when someone is approaching the front door well before they get to it and my drive is only 5m to the door. The zoom in feature is incredibly good but the wide view allows me to see any items left on my front step. You can even set lines and the camera notifies if anyone crosses the lines. All in all a great bell and camera but the best is that if you insert a sim memory card there is no need to pay for storage of recordings.

Antes tenia un timbre Ring, no funcionaba como debía, tenia problemas de señal débil WiFi. se perdían notificaciones. Cambie a timbre TP-Link Tapo, y ahora funciona excelente, buena imagen, capta señal WiFi sin problemas y las notificaciones son inmediatas. Muy recomendado

Excellent buy. I Bought this to replace my ring door bell because I saw no reason to keep a subscription for a door bell. Installation was easy just like my other TAPO security cams. Picture quality and frame is way better than the ring. And I like that it came with a Chime.

Very Good Video Doorbell. Battery Life could be better as it lasts 25 days only.

My Remo+ stopped working, so I bought this Tapo camera doorbell to replace it. It was easy to configure. It takes a little getting used to the way the app is setup, but it has everything I need. It doesn’t require a subscription— which is great! I bought an SD card and save everything locally. It had specific detection for people, vehicles, packages, and motion. I purchased the hardwired version, but it also charges via usb if you don’t want to hardwire it. If you want non-stop detection, you need to hardwire it. The quality of the picture is very good. It has infrared night vision. Plenty of features for simple home security. I would buy it again. I recommend it.
