Wasn't sure whether it would come with the metal cage - it does. However I just used the cage that came with the new stereo. Looks great - go for it! I fitted a Sony CDX-G3100UV which looks and sounds great. Just needed an ISO to DIN aerial adaptor for the radio. Swap the red and yellow leads over and it works like a charm.

Fits well in the smart car and even covers up the open part of the ash tray that taking out the original car radio left. I can still see some metal around the new radio but not sure if that's because I fitted it wrong or still need to buy another bit of plastic. But all in all this is a good product. I would recommend to anyone with a smart car who wants to change the car system

Perfect for the job. Can’t fault it in anyway. Even covers the top of the drawer gap underneath. The colour is also a perfect match to the dashboard. Very happy with this product

A rather boring product but did the job - we fitted a new CD stereo to my 2001 Smart and this fascia adaptor worked just fine. Packaging a bit dented but OK.
