Amazing Product For Price
The ASUS ROG Strix line continues to impress with its balance of raw power, sleek design, and gamer-focused features. Whether you’re diving into the latest AAA titles or pushing through demanding creative workloads, this machine holds up with confidence. Performance: Equipped with high-end AMD Ryzen or Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, the ROG Strix handles multitasking, streaming, and gaming with ease. It maintains high frame rates on ultra settings in titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Elden Ring. Thermal performance is solid thanks to ASUS’s advanced cooling system, though it can get loud under full load. Display: Most models offer a fast, vibrant display—ranging from Full HD 300Hz panels for competitive gaming to QHD 165Hz screens for a more immersive visual experience. The color accuracy is decent for content creation, though creators might prefer an external calibrated monitor for critical work. Build & Design: The laptop sports an aggressive, gamer-centric aesthetic with RGB lighting zones, a customizable light bar, and bold angles. It’s sturdy but slightly on the heavier side, so it’s more of a portable desktop replacement than an ultra-mobile device. Keyboard & Trackpad: The keyboard is tactile and responsive, perfect for gaming marathons. The RGB lighting is fully customizable via Armoury Crate. The trackpad is large and accurate, though most gamers will opt for a dedicated mouse. Battery Life: Like most gaming laptops, battery life isn’t its strong suit. Expect around 4–6 hours with light use, and much less during gaming. However, fast charging support helps top it up quickly. Software & Features: ASUS Armoury Crate is your hub for performance tuning, lighting, and system monitoring. Bloatware is minimal, which is always appreciated. Verdict: The ASUS ROG Strix is a beastly laptop that delivers top-tier gaming performance, premium build quality, and enough customization to please any enthusiast. It’s not the most portable option, but if power is your priority, this rig won’t disappoint.

Love It
The battery life sucks, of course. When you unplug/plug in the charger, the display cuts goes out for a sec. Certain games will not perform well if you are not in "Turbo Mode". Turbo Mode only works if the computer is on the charger, once you unplug the computer, Turbo Mode will automatically turn off. The speakers sound good when you connect headphones, without headphones, the speaker is kinda low. Overall, I love this computer. If you're new to the PC gaming community as I am, I think this is a good computer to start off with.

Good gaming laptop
I’ve been using this laptop for quite a while now it has been working great, it can get a bit overheated but that seems the norm for gaming laptops at least in my experience. The shifting colors on the light up keyboard is what sold me on this one and I think it was definitely worth the purchase.

G513RC-EH71 has no per key RGB
Bought this G513RC-EH71 during black Friday sale for $799. This is a 4 panel RGB keyboard, not per-key RGB. I selected the 1TB option, but the ASUS website specs said it was 512gb drive, which I received. I only play Shadow of the Tomb Raider and it runs at ~100 fps on high settings. I tried the MUX settings and other settings in Armoury Crate, and it made little difference, so I left it at the Optimized setting. I also set the AURA lights so that it displays CPU temperature, green, yellow, red. After installing said game from Steam, I had 75% of my SDD left, so I upgraded the SDD to 4TB and upgraded the ram to 64mb using Crucial components. I like that it can charge through the proprietary power input, or through a USB-C port (100w). HDMI video out and USB-C video out all work like a charm. Overall I'm pleased with the performance of this laptop.

Problems since day 1
I have never felt the need to leave a harsh review, but this laptop is ridiculous. Since day one it has had an issue with fans being EXTREMELY loud, no matter how much they are cleaned. Most importantly, I have had antivirus on this thing, regularly clean it out, optimize it, but no matter what I have done it has always had an issue with lagging and not performing at speeds anywhere close to cheaper devices I've had. I have had it for a year and a half, and it acts like it's far older. Gaming on it is nightmarish - screaming fans, runs games alright but nothing special. I don't even use it for gaming now. I use it for taking college notes at most, but even prefer an iPad to it. I only wish that I could get some sort of refund. Gamble buying this if you want, but I can't find a single positive and feel like I was scammed out of my money. Very frustrated.

Long term problem
For the first year this computer was amazing. It ran games great at mid to high graphics, ran some different CAD programs flawlessly. Less than a month after a year ownership it would constantly crash and give BSOD with multiple error messages to the point of not starting. I looked up the codes on windows and followed what was suggested for updates. Now its at a shop and won't download an operating system.
