Coghlan's Stainless Steel Folding Scissors – Compact, Portable, Lightweight, and Durable; Perfect for Travel, Camping, First Aid Kits, and Everyday Use

I owned a pair of this brand about 30 years ago, so recognized the brand when I saw it. Though there are many competitors, I was happy to pay the extra price for the all-metal design, the sharpness, and the quality. I expect them to be durable for a long time. They were stiff when I first opened them, and the handle popped out too far, but I was able to put it back into place (carefully, so as not to cut myself). With repeated opening and closings, the mechanism loosened up a bit and now they open with ease. It does take a bit of practice to safely open and close (pressing the two handles together, if done incorrectly, can be a safety hazard, especially when the scissors are new and not yet broken in---no one wants to be stabbed!), but once you get the hang of it, things are great and are easy to use! I'm very happy with these!

I have many pairs of these folding scissors. I keep one in every fishing tackle box I have as well as one in the glove box of every car we have. It is always convenient having scissors. What is great about these scissors is that they fold up very small, will not cut anything accidentally when folded, and are durable and sturdy. I use them when saltwater fishing and have never had a pair rust (though I do wash them off with fresh water after each use in saltwater). For use in fishing, they cut monofilament perfectly. They do fine with braid, but you sometimes have to pull the braid tight to cut it. The other good thing about these scissors is that they are legal to take on a plane in non-checked baggage. At least as of 2024, the blades are short enough to be legal to go through security at the airport. I always take a pair with me on any trip because having scissors is always useful.

This is my third set in the last 30 years roughly. I get about 10 years out of the pair amazing little scissors to keep in camping bathroom manscaping etc, easy use very sharp and safe when folded up. Perfect size

It’s always nice to have folding scissors in your makeup bag, just in case…. These are perfect for packing.

Good for keeping in your purse or car. They fold into itself safely, sharp enough to cut but not enough to hurt yourself. Ive got them hanging on my keychain and it’s beyond convenient. 10/10 product in my opinion they get lots of use and they’re cute, little and high quality.

These are compact and cut well. They’re a little clunky to slide open and closed though. I keep them in my purse to cut open liquid IV sticks because they don’t tear open.

Zunächst als Trekking-Utensil gekauft zeigte sich, dass man mit der Schere perfekt als Rechtshänder mit der linken Hand die Fingernägel schneiden kann, was in der Regel mit üblichen Nagelscheren nicht funktioniert. Dazu super kompakt, faltbar, scharf. Ein tolles Produkt.

Excelente tamaño y muy practica, ideal para llevarla a todos lados y la forma en la que se guarda impide romper la bolsa en la que se carga.

Nice utility

I had bought quite a few folding scissors, in the past, from other retailers, but unfortunately, those are no longer an option to purchase. So, I found this brand here on Amazon, and I figured, "why not, they look like they would get the job done." They do! I had been hoping that since this is an American brand, that the scissors would have been made in the USA, but that was just wishful thinking. They are made elsewhere, which wasn't that big of a surprise, but they are still worth having, are at a great price-point, cut very well and fold up easily. One doesn't have to worry about cutting one's fingers or hands while folding them. Overall, they are great scissors.
